I'm considering getting a Dyson too so I'd like to hear from Dyson owners if the high price is justified.

Why would people want to put carpets in their homes in Cyprus .... :?

I love tiles ... much more hygienic :D

Dysons are fantastic particularly if you have pets. i would not have anything else

just bought a new one at Carrefore. I had the last one 4 years and it dealt with a very hairy dog all that time

I have tiles throughout but vacuum cleaners are good for rags and difficult to sweep corners, under the beds, etc.

i also have a dyson have had it for about 4 years now although my house is tiled throughout in the winter it is nice to have the comfort of a rug in the living area especially if you have small kids who like to get on the floor and play, the dyson is brilliant in sucking up all the dust including bacteria that causes asthma, i used to sweep my floors but i found i was sweeping the dirt more places than it was found so the hoovering is much more better and cleaner then you can mop it to clean the tile.

I am a bit of a collector of rugs ... Persian and Afghans mostly ... would not touch the mass-produced, rubbish tat from Turkey with a barge pole .... even if it was just to line my dog's kennel ...... :D
