Despite the above Kasoulides has managed to win a significant perectage from other parties. His philosophy has won and I need to congradulate him for this. I never believed in Communism and I will never do .
By the way my 87 y o Grand mother has voted as expected Christofias ...
I need to congratulate Kasoulides for this achievement despite this collusson.
DUSI has won and gets Stronger!
Don't be a bad loser. The Cypriot people have made a democratic choice like they did last week. Why can't some people respect democracy?

Indeed Piratis , the people of Cyprus made a democratic choice .
The countdown to recognition has begun in earnest and the "plan" that will be used to sell it to the people of Cyprus is already on the drawing board .
Mark my words , that this election result will go down in the history of CYPRUS AS ONE OF THE 3 BIGGEST BLUNDERS OUR NATION HAS SUFFERED.
The first was to ditch the Zurich agreements so soon after independence , the second was to invite Turkey to invade and this current one to isolate Cyprus and make it not only the joke of Europe but the darling of Cuba , Moldova , Iran Kazakhstan and all other Anti American tin pot little states.
Off to have a bottle of RED Chateau Comradof 2008 !!
LONG LIVE THE ROC , MAY WE LIVE TO FIGHT ANOTHER BATTLE .

Who has invited Turkey to invade?
Turkey was" invited " to invade by the extremists Cypriots along with the Greek irresponsible Junta . I think you misunderstand the point that I'm making and that is that our misfortunes ARE of our own making , regardless which function of the "political " scene was directly predominantly responsible. What I'm trying to say is that you can not blame AKEL when in a few months time recognition begins to become a reality , you must put the blame squarely on the shoulders of the Cypriot people. This election result has confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt where the Cypriots want to be in 5 years from now. The outcasts of Europe and the West. You Sir have made your bed now lay on it , dont blame the West when it turns its back on Cyprus , don't be surprised that the Americans will be the first nation to begin the dismantling of the embargoes , dont be at all surprised that this time next year your dream and mine of unification is buried for good.
May I finish by expressing my support to the new government of the ROC and add that I most sincerely hope that my predictions are wrong.

US - CHRISTOFIAS ELECTION
US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Bryza congratulated President-elect Demetris Christofias on his election victory, saying the US looks forward to working with him for a comprehensive Cyprus settlement.
In a statement on Sunday, Bryza said ``we congratulate President-elect Christofias on his election and the citizens of the Republic of Cyprus on a free and fair election.``
``We look forward to working with President-elect Cristofias` new government, once it is sworn in, to deepen our bilateral relations and pursue a comprehensive Cyprus settlement that reunifies the island into a bi-zonal, bi-communal federation,`` he concluded.
