With your kindpermission OrPh. My view is that the 'virus's' existed prior to the 1960's agreements. The leaders pre-1960 suddenly saw Nationalism as a boost to this 'viral' attack, The 1960'agreements merely just confirmed it. Now, how do you reverse this disease which has divided us way before 1960? Brainwash a population of nearly a million? If there are many more like you this will be impossible to eradicate.

That is why her posts are so boring, she "lights the touchpaper" and stands well back allowing others with a little more insight to carry on the discussion - and just popping in now and then when she has thumbed through the dictionary to add a few inane comments...........

I guess you are still harping on about the fact I said the GCs were defending themselves because they are not the ones that "visited" another country in order to conquer it .... hence were not responsible for the true origins of any violence.

So no TC got raped nor murdered only to be dumped into a big grave along with the rest of the village?

Systematic execution of unarmed villages full of women and children which were gathered around with other promises is FAR from defense, call me an idiot but i think it starts blending into the borders of genocide.

By defence I mean the GCs did not invade another country in order to massacre its people and take over its government ... as Turkey did to Cyprus.

By defence I mean the GCs were fighting for survival in their own country which was under attack from a neighbouring country, Turkey.

By defence I mean the GCs were having to consider how to survive under the continual barrage of systemic infiltration of Cyprus by Turkey.

This was raised to your point, that everyone is doing well mixing, with total freedom of movement in the USA ... I do not agree with this view.

It is only because the US is so vast that the different people are well placed from each other, hence the Seattle / N.O. analogy.

Due to Cyprus' size, close proximity of people whose differences are highlighted, instead of "blended", would lead to continual problems.

I believe your federal system instead of my "blend" system would keep leading to conflicts. My system is left of yours.

After blending, then we would start to see people's individual differences ...... which are more interesting.

Do you realise, that you would be talking differently had you met and lived with a GC partner in the RoC.
