Kikapu , allow Zan the pleasure of winning the "shit affair " and get back to the American election. Do you really think that Hilary Clinton might just be considered again for the VP ticket ?
Should this happen I will have to re predict the results . Still McCain I'm afraid but with reduced EVs.
As it stands at the moment I think , as I said earlier , McCain will be a clear winner .

I agree with you Miltiades, that I concede the "Battle of Do-Do's" awards to our good friend Zan. He can place his triumphant "Shitty Trophy" along with his other awards on his mantle piece.!

The current polls does not support your predictions Miltiades, about McCain being the winner. The Palin and the republican convention "surge" has now subsided and Obama has once again have a clear 4% advantage in the national polls, as well as doing well in some swing states. Besides, the media likes to report the race to be very close. It helps with the papers circulation. We still have 6 weeks to go before the election, which is a lifetime in politics, specially in the States. With the economy being bad and the recent financial meltdown has got people talking about the real issues again and not "lipsticks on a pig" on a white trash from Alaska. She is nothing but an "empty skirt" and knows shit about anything outside her small community in Alaska, all of 600,000 residence in the biggest state of the union. The Republicans are shielding her from reporters questions, to protect her from getting "knocked up" with her ignorance on everything. Too bad she did not protect her own 17 year old daughter from getting "knocked up" by her boyfriend, because she too did not know anything either, specially about sex and consequences. You can say, "well, that could happen to every family" and you would be correct, except that these fundamentalist religious bigots pretends to live by "Family Values" who are ready to criticize others at a moments notice. Palin is beginning to fit the red neck & white trash image each and every passing day. We still have a report to come out on her next month on "trooper-gate". Palin and McCain are toast at this point, specially with Mccain's claim, that the US economy is "fundamentally in sound condition" as the financial institutions are falling all around him like dominoes left, front and center. What an idiot.

I think Obama has started his "home stretch" moves now and he is going to be on McCain like "fly on shit". No,no, this has nothing to do with our good friend Zan.

As for Hillary coming back to a VP position, it is a great possibility. Had Obama chose her from the beginning, McCain would have gone with a Far Right male candidate to appease the Far Right Religious groups from the "Bible Belt" as well as pound on Hillary because of all the baggage she carries with her. This notion that Hillary could do things better than Obama is a false perception. I believe Obama is the right candidate for the Presidency over Hillary, but now that McCain has gone with Palin, Hillary can make a huge splash by putting the "Palin surge" away for good, because Hillary is far superior to anything what the "empty skirt" Palin has to offer.

Joe Biden has already publicly stated last week , that Hillary was more qualified than him to be in the VP position. Was that just a slip of the tongue or was the ground work was being prepared to make an exist from the VP position to go back to the senate. I tend to believe, is a way to bring Hillary in at certain point, and a surprise appearance by Hillary at a VP Debate with Palin on October 4th, would be an earth shattering announcement. Palin will not have any protection at all, by making claims that the man (Biden) was beating up on her and cry foul with sexism. We shall see, but this would be a game strategy that will knock the wind out of "McPain's" sails. The Democrats will lose some Independent votes, but they will also gain some with others.

I'll be in the states for the run up to the elections very soon. Of course, my Great State of California will be supporting Obama. But anything can happen on election day, and as in any True Democracy, we will accept the results and wait for the next election to chance the status quo. There will be no bombs going off, no revenge killings, no military coup to oust the newly elected government and so on, as the case may be in some other countries that practices different "Shades of Democracy" as VP put it. We are happy with the True Democracy that we have, and Cyprus should have a True Democracy also.

Thank you Zan. Now go and take a long deserved break.

Listen Zan, this is a good time to ask you a very important question that I have been meaning to ask you for a long time. Don't tell us which district/borough and to whom, but have you ever cast a vote in an election in the UK, and if so, when was the last time, because I get a funny feeling, that this thing called Democracy is not really your kind of "cup of tea".!

I prefer keeping my head up at all times and when a candidate that is worthy of truth and my vote comes along he/she gets it. Tony Blair got my vote every time because he seemed to be the only honest person around that thought of people as his top priority....Maggie Thatcher on the other hand, turned the UK into a business and should have been put in jail for it. The only thing that I am grateful to her for is dragging the Uk into the multicultural 20th century.

If the world was a fair place then Obama should be the next president of the USA......I don't think it will happen..You know why....Because people like you are so wrapped up in protecting a corrupt system that you have been brainwashed into......You know the word....God knows you use it at every opportunity you get..But DEMOCRACY for you is not what it is in essence....Just a bastardised version of the real thing that you murder people all over the world to promote. The emperor is walking around naked and you are still admiring his non-existent cloths...

And who ever said that True Democracy was perfect, but against the alternative, specially name in only Democracies, we still do far better than those who are denied their "Democratic Rights". You are all too ready to point the finger to the USA's wrong doing's in the world, and you will not get any complaints from me, and in fact I will agree with you on many failed foreign policies we have made, but just how much different is the policies of the UK's from the US. Take Iraq, Afghanistan, Middle East in general and lets not forget the Falklands. You seem to have exercised your rights in the same Democratic system as I have, so don't try to look down on others, when in fact, you are at the same eye level as others in the West.
