I was and still am amazed at the use of bread as bait. Back in the Uk we used to go digging for lug and rag worms (and crabs sometimes), but here you just chuck the bread on the water, wait till they start to nibble, then bait the hook with bread and keep your fingers crossed!!! Brilliant!!

I never tried this. What kind of fish is this used on if I can ask? Last time I fished in Cyprus was so long ago that I don't remember what we used as bait. And the fish I caught would've only been useful for baiting purposes here...

Maybe a tuna excursion will be in the cards next time...

It is just coastal fishing.Nothing too big,but the sweetcorn does work.Try the old harbour at Limassol off the rocks, some big fish there.

I was taken shooting on the first day of the season some years ago. Quite an experience but complete madness! I've stuck to fishing exclusively ever since - it's safer and quieter.

Fishing, football and family in that order.
