Is there any good hobby shops in Nicosia that sells hobby equipment?

ie, radio controlled car, boat, plane equipment etc

No idea,but there is a radio controlled club that meets at Ladies Mile (Limassol) on a Sunday.I am not into that type of thing but the aircraft they have are very impressive.

I don't know what happens with taxes and stuff with online shopping + there are some little bits that need to be bought in a shop
Like for example fuel as my models are nitro powered

WOW that online shop is expensive!

An engine I am thinking of buying is 160 CYP there...
It's normal price on other online model shops is 110 USD

It will be in UK Pounds remember and if you buy in the 'States in Dollars you have to pay duty on top plus VAT...

You mean 2 separate taxes?
Payable to and where?
I'm really confused here...

I thought it was CYP which would make it pretty dear
But it's still very expensive

You pay the taxes at post office. But if you order something from outside EU over some amount, i think 500 pounds, then you need a customs officer to make some paperwork for you and that will cost you some more pounds ;)
