Bravo VP...Should have done this myself......Bravo to the right people who voted for the right reasons.

The GCs have never accepted us as political equals by heart. And perhaps more importantly, given the zenith of their fortune built on what they have usurped from us over the years, they have absolutely no major incentive to accept us as political equals in any forseeable future.

Papadopulos, Klerides, Makarios, Kassoulides or whatever crook you like... it won`t matter. The bottom line is that unless we relinquish our rights on this island as ONE of the TWO communities, unless we accept to put our safety and existence in jeopardy, unless we give in to the systematic efforts of Hellenizing this island, the GCs, as they have repeatedly done in the past and continually do so in the present, will implement any and all unethical, criminal and inhumane means necessary for us to come to their terms.

The good news is that the tide has taken a notable turn in our favor. The outcome of this election is a testimony that the GC criminal political initiative has lost significant blood and the GC community wants something to be done about it. The acknowledgement of the TC existence and rights on the island by the third parties, especially the EU member countries, has never been so pronounced. This has panicked the GC community.

We are moving forward; slowly but steadily.

nothng like a Turkish fanatic to come and unite warring Gc's during an election.

Murataga is cautious as I am DT and you know that. The re-education of the GCs after the damage done by Tpap and his regime will be a hard one. When I see the end of the effects of the Tpap regime then I will sleep easier...All this play acting by GR and the likes is funny to watch though!!!!!

I still thank the GCs that voted for the right reasons!!!!!!!!

If Christofias is elected it will be a test of Talat's sincerity. He and Christofias are political comrades, they tout their close relations and open access to each other and between their parties. So let us see how it will play out.

Personally I do not see much coming out of the situation.

Talats sincerity to what?????

All you have done is change presidents and you act as if that is all that is needed....Again, being cautious...If this is just a PR stunt like DT and Phoenix keep going on about then of course nothing will change...Tpap going is not the solution.....Signing at the bottom of a new constitution and a new country is the solution.   As I said before....Now we can talk!!!!

Nikitas I have been following the press both Turkish and non Turkish and Talat has proven himself to be a two faced monger. Mostly pushing for partition. His claims there are two peoples on the Island of Cyprus two communties two religions and two liguistic groups only says one thing partition.

I personally do not trust him.

Now let me see, two communities - one GC, one TC. Check.
Two religions - one Christian, one Moslem. Check.
Two linguistic groups - one Greek speaking, one Turkish speaking. Check.

AyAy. I can understand your worry. We've got a politician who tells the truth.

You are right we may be numerically smaller than GCs Piratis but never the less we are your partners, the real problem is you do not see it that way and expect us to capitulate to your demands, this has not happened in 48 years why do you think it will happen now? There are 2 communities in Cyprus either a equal partnership or the current divided choice is yours we dont mind either way.

You choose war by invading the independent and sovereign Republic of Cyprus and insisting on illegally occupying 1/3rd of it. We will not capitulate to your blackmail until your illegal occupation ends. You want war, you have war.
