GR, I would tend to agree with you on this, but, I worry even more that with a commi in charge, this will give the US/UK governments more reason to F us by causing further difficulties with Turkey.

It wouldn't surprise me if they were to deliberately recognise the TRNC just to piss us off like the did with Macedonia and greece when Greece pissed them off.

UK/US cannot afford to have Russia anywhere near Cyprus and the whole thing would then become more military orientated than politically orientated.

So, the choice is the frying pan or the fire as I see it. There is no choice sadly.

US/UK will begin to hum the TRNC/TR tune, they will start to have more contact openly, they will start talking about THE TRNC, where as at present they are keeping very low on this.

They cannot do the dirty work themsleves (1974) so they will let the rotweiler loose (aka Turkey) and we are going to get one hell of a bite. Then who are we going to turn to. US? UK? EU? We are heading for some big trouble ahead.

I don't like it, nothing I can do to stop it. The kas lot would have caused other problems like giving away the country for a few extra shillings.

Like I said, TPaP was the only real option to save us. IMHO The guy should have been given a chance to put his words into actions since he inherited the shit from Clerides and had to make good the bad.

Dusi was in power for 10 years and put the whole of the island into the EU. How easy you forget? Christofias Only accpeted European direction 1 week ago AND he rejected many times in the parliament the European direction who is backed by the MAJORITY of the Cypriots.

DUSY respects INDEPENDENCE of the republic but without rejection the origins of GreekCypriots and the TurkishCypriots . He respects Both. It wil be foolish to wake up one day and think you are a Cypriot and rejectin the roots of the GreekCypriots and TurksihCypriots.
