Can I suggest something Phoenix.Take a trip to the North, like some of your countrymen get to know a few Turkish Cypriots.It will be an eye opener for you,they are decent hard working people,no axe to grind they just get on with their lives.

Full removal of any Turkish influence is what the EU will help obtain for Cyprus in the next few years.

As long as Greek Cypriots national council decision about ENOSİS stand .Turkish Cypriots will not except any solution without Turkey's guaranties.This Enosis decision was taken at 1965. Since than we didn't get any declaration from Greek Cypriots national council that they are not any more after the Enosis idea. We are waiting to see the Greek Cypriots national council decision. Than we can decide....................

Dont forget Bulgaria. It has a ten per cent Turkish minority and if the emerging principle in international relations is that all minorities are entitled to secede then Bulgaria will be next.

But those that promoted this principle forgot that one way round it in the future will be to expel (or worse) minorities before they get anywhere near asking for secession.

Now I want to see how the USA and Australia will deal with their ethnic indigenous minorities. Will they apply the principle that no minority should be forced to exist under others' sovereignty? OK I was making a joke, dont jump on me.

How about in Greece ? There is a Turkish minority as well.

shes nto the only one who will never step foot in the TRNC while turks are there everyone i know could not imagine the idea of living with turks and would love to see them die infact most of my friends wont step foot in the TRNC refuse to give money to a illigal state that stole our land 18% minority that feels like it has the right to control all of cyprus.

though i do have one friend she goes into the TRNC every chance she gets to gamble buy cloths ciggarretes i tell her she is stupid giving the turks her money.

Having said that ive met A FEW TURKISH PPL THAT IVE MADE FRIENDS WITH, caps off/ turkish cypriot as he called himself he come to south to avoid army in noirth and a few guys from mainland turkey called adem and sefa ( hope i spell it right ) sefa meaning sofi for a guy heh, but they where nie guys and her mum came to cyprus to my cousins house..

we also have a turkish cypriot in our class at college who wont shut up about trnc and turkey every chance he gets no one talks to him u see him on breaks walking around alone because no one wants to talk to a turkish guy.

it would be nice if both sides could all get along but why does turkey treat minorities in turkey like scum then expect to have full control of cyprus being a minority here? oh thats right because they have a big army and think they can do whatever they want andwant everyone to follow their rules and ignore peoples questions that they cant answer.

its the same old excuses oh we said yes to annan plan we should be exused for our illigal invasion and rapings and killings and for taking 37% of your island when we are 18% minority and oh because 1960 agreements saying 50/50% power in cyprus thats how it should be for TCS but it never says in the 1960 agreement there should be two seperate states they take parts of the agreement that suits them when they want.

Don't you think it is sad that the Turkish guy wanders around at break time with no one to talk to.I remember my daughter when she started school in a village in the UK,no one played with her,no one spoke to her,they made fun of her though,for four years..It is all very sad.
