Kosovo's UDI Recognized by TRNC

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Pubdog2,then why was there a delegation from Somaliland at the 2007 British Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Kampala,Uganda then?

Somaliland is a proper country,as it covers the same territory as British Somaliland did,& it has its own government.

Another article of passing interest (from TurkishPress.com)

Former Turkish Cypriot President Says Now Is The Time For Demanding Recognition
Published: 2/25/2008

LEFKOSA - Former President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Rauf Denktas said international conjuncture was now best fit for TRNC to seek international recognition after several countries, including the U.S. recognized the independence of Kosovo.
"Now is the time to demand recognition from the international community," Denktas told the A.A. in an exclusive interview.

Denktas also said Czech and Slovakian model constituted "the best" model for Cyprus, adding that federations could also be established between states as well as communities.

Dean, the so-called 'TRNC' has never had any legal right to exist.Czechoslovakia did not have a federal system prior to 1990.

Rauf Denktash is an example of a typical malakas.

Thanks for the link Nadia, but even from that, it still says:

The Republic of Somaliland considers itself to be the successor state of the former British Somaliland protectorate

it was not recognized by any other country or international organization

It regarded itself as the successor state to the briefly independent State of Somaliland, but did not receive any international diplomatic recognition

and
there is a required a acknowledgment of Somaliland by EU

Ref the last quote: Did they get it? Certainly not yet!

These quotes are from your link, yet you maintain that you are right and I am wrong?

So they attended a meeting, woopee doo!

Aidan,

I happen to have regular contacts with Mr. Denktash. Through both e-mail and snail-mail, we had - and still have - a good correspondence relationship.

Thats great. Can you ask him an important question from me?

If the TC's where the majority of this island in 1959 would there still be any GC's left today?
