bill i will not coment on if my land is trkish or greek cypriot but what is for sure LARNACA AIRPORT is built on turkish cypriot land.

What all of it

You have forgotten to complain about the new roads and motorways built on Turkish land ~ this appropriation would have happened even if there had been no invasion and irrespective of whether the land was owned by Turkish or Greek Cypriots ~ it's called progress and happens the world over so is a very weak argument

What you have in the north is the wholesale selling of Greek Cypriot land with replacement deeds to naive and stupid foreigners unlike in the ROC where TC land is held in trust until a solution.

Obviously the GC's have built on TC land ~ you can't remove 250,000 people from the north without providing homes for them ~ some housing was built on government owned land and some on TC owned farm land ~ no deeds are given to the Greek refugees homes built on Turkish refugees land and the present occupants are unable to sell them.

With the exception of one isolated instance in Paphos were the crooks involved were prosecuted and imprisoned no land or property belonging to a Turkish refugee has been sold to a foreigner.

It's a shit situation and there's going to be lots of problems sorting it all out in the event of a solution ~ obviously some will lose their homes and where it involves a foreigner in the north the money paid will be lost too as I can't see Turkey paying out any compensation as you were aware of the risks in buying in the north.

So enjoy your beach front land and property but don't come crying when it all goes sadly wrong.

Personally I think the ROC government was stupid to keep the Turkish refugees land available for their return ~ they should have done the same as the north and issued replacement deeds for the lot and made some decent money out of it selling it to foreigners .

There a lot of things you can talk about Lapta boy. Does the pinar (spring)still have water running through it. As kids we were told that the water at the spring comes from the Taurus mountains in southern Turkey. Is that true?
