A Lion never forgets.

As a result of a heavy and sustained rainfall in Africa, a certain area of land became isolated and that area came under the control of a 'Hyaena' who revelled in his new found authority as King of his domain.

One day, as he was at the water's edge, he chanced to see some young Lions frollicking in the grassland on the opposite bank.

He took it upon himself to shout abuse and threaten them even to the extent that he insulted the LION and the LIONess.

One young Lion (actually coming into his prime) turned to his Father and said:-

"Have no fear Father, sooner or later the waters that now surround him will become less and he will venture across them in the hope of improving his lot, HE will have forgotten his insult to you and my Mother wheras I will remember always, one day he will be playing and I will be singing, on that day he will see darkness, for the laws in THIS Kingdom are unlike the laws in his own where such insult is taken lightly, THIS I SWEAR !".

OKAY ... something for everyone in this fable.

Like a prism we can split the tale into many waves of light .... each colour a take home message: selected, depending on which side of the fence / water we are dwelling.

Thank you for your parting story.

We will miss you hugely .... :(

Safe journeys :D

Just like proverbs useful tools but often full of weakness, 'Look Before You Leap' or alternatively 'He Who Hesitates Is Lost'.
