Well if Papadopoulos has been given the boot bloody good show. At least the world will now know that the GCs are seeking a solution and are fed up with the status quo. Perhaps Turkey will give a little now to show that it too wants a solution.

...and others such as the International Herald Tribune are saying the same thing.

IPO, in this case would be the most reliable source...

"Perhaps Turkey will give a little now to show that it too wants a solution."

Let us all remember the comment and check on it in days to come. I am not at all hopeful of Turkey doing anything for anyone other than itself. Wait and see.

Some 516,000 voters, including 390 Turkish Cypriots, were registered to vote. Voter turnout was more than 89 percent, election authorities said. Voting is compulsory in Cyprus.

...let us see if Kasoulides has the courage to continue on his insistence that the Annan Plan is off the table. I hope so...

...let us see if Christofias is a man who can explain his ten point plan.

And I am sure upon review, our leaders (Talat and whoever wins this vote) can do better for themselves, if they prepare their solution alone, non-Partisan, even con-joined, in a public and exclusively Cypriot way, ...before its presention for the recognition from the Interlocutors that it needs, having had a Referendum of their respective citizenry to demonstrate its credibility.

I think that it is pretty clear now that our hearts must open to each other. If these men desire our esteem they will choose Cyprus first, and their Humanity will be the characteristic on which they will be judged by the rest of Mankind....so we can only be happy that we live in interesting times, and that there is a lot of work to begin; now that more gates (I hope) have opened.
