i have to disagree Aidan, most of the areas in Kosovo are between 60-90 Albanian the rest are Serbs and whatever else is in the mix. Pipedream is buried but doesnt mean that it right what is happening. Who gonna protect the minority serbs and others when the majority of Albanians are ruling, even though they have no right to that land.
its what the Turks want to do to us but they arent a majority and circumstances are different to ours.

You could also say, who will protect the TCs if the Turkish Army was to leave Kypros.

Marz,there are people of other nationalities living in Kosovo apart from Kosovar Albanians & Kosovo Serbs.With Kosovo becoming independent as a proper country,the 'Yugoslavia' pipedream is now dead & buried.

DT.,there's no such thing as a 'Greater Albania' pipedream.What the pro-Serbs here fail to realise is that Kosovo was part of Albania during World War II.Kosovo had very high autonomy until 1989,when Slobodan Milosevic had the Kosovar Parliament abolished.That was the spark that led Serbia to be involved in causing trouble in the Balkans,especially in both Bosnia-Hercegovina & Croatia as well,considering that there are fascists in Serbia that still believe in the braindead 'Greater Serbia' pipedream.

Kosovo,will,in time become fully independent in its own affairs.Eventually,Serbia will have to accept that Kosovo is legally an independent state like Montenegro is.Both Serbia & Kosovo should extend hands of friendship to one another.There's nothing that either China or Russia can do,as those 2 countries have hypocritical foreign affairs & external relations policies.

Kosovo is set to become a democratically governed country,whereas,neither China nor Russia are democratic at all.

Having been in Kosovo at Bondsteel I can attest to the different bases. Canada, French, German, Indian, Russian, U.S., Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, I can go on and on.

Bondsteel is NATO and so is Film City which is in Pristina.

Greek.god,despite what the pro-Serbs here think,I reckon that Kosovo was more than right to have declared independence from Serbia.

Those who are comparing Kosovo to northern Cyprus are wrong.Kosovo is more like Taiwan & Somaliland - independent states that have also been unjustly denied full recognition.
