Postby kurupetos » Thu Feb 14, 2008 9:28 pm

If you could choose your place of residence where would you like to live, USA or Cyprus?

I choose Cyprus.

If the USA was more like Cyprus .... perhaps governed by Papadopoulos, perhaps no Ku Klux Klan, no Evangelists, no Turks, no Hurricanes ... then yeah ....... it has a nice varied landscape :D

emmm.... Cyprus has got Evangelists and Turks.

We have all kinds here. Anyhow, I don't think Cyprus will have any KKK or Hurricanes, and probably Papadopoulos will win his election, so that's not going to change either.

I was describing what an ideal "USA" would be, before I would consider a move there ...

How about you answer the question of the thread

Man, I can't believe your trying to stay on-top of this one, this is not real life where you can rewind and change what you said, this is a forum and everything is written.

Let me help you understand.

You stated if the US was more like Cyprus, then you continued to say have no Evangelists, no Turks.... etc. Therefore somebody reading this would believe that Cyprus would have no Turks and no Evangelists. I don't have a masters in English, but one reading that would believe that's what you meant. I am not even going to go over the point of landscape. You did not mention 'ideal' anywhere.

Since you asked for me to answer the question I will do you the honour.

I would prefer to live in Cyprus rather than the USA, I would only go on holiday to the US, never to live, prefer this place.

Nope ... you misunderstood ... those were some of my points for considering a move to the USA.

Perhaps I should have tabulated  but the first broad sweeping statement was "If the USA was more like Cyprus" ..... then I added further refining points which would improve the USA further in order for me to consider moving there.

Get it? :D

 okay, I get it. This is a common problem when typing, people take things the wrong way. I don't, just like to cause arguement with people I don't know. ;-)

Anyhow, I love Cyprus, would not move to US for any reason. It's not paradise, but it's close. On a serious note it's bedtime and I have to go rest now, it's in Nicosia  Hate the traffic there, but still love Cyprus 8).

Goodnight Folks
