Hi TC, how are you? Thanks for uploading the article, it's always interesting to read about people's personal experiences of the Conflicts that happened in Cyprus...I keep looking at the picture with the women and children in the van, they look so scared and confused...Very sad...:(

I too was affected by this sad photo ...

But T_C's thread is about glorifying TCs which continued the ongoing oppression of Cyprus.

In true propaganda style, he threw in emotive images to increase the sympathetic response to the photos of the Terrorist Turk-TCs that he is trying to portray as Heroes.

How can anyone expect us to acknowledge these descendants of the invaders, who continue their battles to oppress and eliminate the native population of Cyprus, as heroes?

If they are your heroes, then you are a traitor to Cyprus.

What we will agree on here is that your terrorists are our heroes. These were civilians defending their homes. You will look and not see. Just as the Eoka were once your heroes (maybe they still are).

Past conflicts were the result of inter communal fighting that was spearheaded by fanatics and motherland bullshitters. The curse of Cyprus , the cancer eating away , its time to leave the past behind and seek solace in reconciliation and forgiveness . We are not as Cypriot people killers , murderers and without a conscience. Let us forget those horrid years , that BOTH sides brought shame on Cyprus , there were no heroes just victims and aggressors .

Yes, they are civilian defenders. Notice the shotguns. The pic was taken on the old main road at Kophinou. Next to the cemetary. Not as well armed as your terrorists.
