On the GC side we had organizations that started after 1960, funed by the Americans, whose purpose was to protects us from the communist threat. Being a full time patriot in the early 60s was a full job for some, and it was those guys who later participated in the clashes.

Well, we do know how the Americans are ggod at Civil Wars. They do not care one Iota.

As BK mentioned in another post, the pics on the Kophinou road are our cousins (real ones) and are farmers and shepherds of that village. They did not atack any GC village but defending their own. Like wise I expect the GCs to defend their own villages in case of attack.

Oh whatever deniz. Do you really believe they had to defend their own villages? Come on man, they chat so much shit.

Dont get upset TC. Its my way of pointing out that we had a right to defend ourselves. What I am saying is under the circumstances, wouldnt they do the same? What do they expect us to do. They neednt have to defend as it was us undr attack and not them. Please dont misunderstand my point.

How could you be defending yourselves when you were the descendants of invaders and had the easy-option of joining your motherland ...

Clearly you wanted to continue the invasion and fought for the perpetuation of the occupation .... so no-way are you heroes!

Oracle you misguided bird of the feathered variety (I am being nice here), @Motherland' does not mean anything to me. My cuntry is Cyprus, and Cyprus is my home. So keep your peace.

I second that Deniz , and Im proud to have people like you as my fellow Cypriots , my compatriots .
ps .you missed the O in the cunt ry !!! Old age I suppose !!

Thanks for the correction Miltiades. I promise it was not deliberate. Must be old age then.

I guess you don't know much about guns, but you can't play sniper with a hunting rifle. The thing I don't understand Phoenix that how can you not acknowledge the attacks and crimes against TC's on the island during the 60's, at all. You make it out as if GC's had nothing to do with it! What do you want us to do?

quote:

"We do not need invaders pointing them at us"

Now you call TC's defending themselves invaders, you really are a BEACH.

At least we don't have G3 rifles at home all oiled and ready for a attack , if you ever can build up the balls to cross the green line with them.

As long as people like you exist nothing will ever change on the island.

I am again grateful to you for voicing your view without any bullshit, it gives us the power to move on with our lives in the TRNC.

What would you like darling? A Greek coffee, a Turkish coffee or a Cypriot coffee?

love this signature...so true

Thanks replusewarrior, it was my grandmother actually that said it a while back; I remembered it when I came to write my signature and I just had to use it. She definitely has a good sense of humour, that’s for sure!

I’m trying to remember what I eventually chose, I think I may have gone for something a bit different and exotic and chosen the Turkish coffee that day, it’s nice to give ‘new’ things a try, don’t you think?

...I remember as a young boy looking forward everday in the summer, taking coffee at a cafe in the village next to mine. They served Turkish coffee, and it was served with the usual stuff, watermelon, cheese, olives and nuts, with water on the side. In our cafe, the one closest to my home it was Cypriot exclusively, and in the big cafe it was Greek.

many argue they are all the same, but it is no coincidence that they taste differently. we are lucky, you and me, to know this; your grandmother is very wise because she knows the difference, and she is able to make all three.

Always difficult to asses ones personality the first time you meet them , but in your case I formed the opinion from the first few moments that you are an absolute gem , with a generous nature and a welcoming personality.Still remember you driving to your house to get that bottle of red !! Hope to meet up again soon .

Sorry for being so stupid shah, it just slipped my mind since Turks never kiss arse especially Greek arse! We always fight until the last man, not like the Greeks who I think kissed a lot more than arse  .

What bullocks man !! Absolute shit , are you proud of all this nationalistic crap or you just plain illiterate !!

Actually NO I don't believe in that sort of stuff, but Phoenix just does a good job driving TC's mad. I was waiting for you to tell her to shut the trap calling us all invaders since 1571 and traitors but then again you decided not to.

I have told Phoenix / Oracle on more than one occasion that her extreme views and full of hate posts are not conducive towards a peaceful solution of Our Cyprob. She knows my views extremely well and has received a couple of emails from me telling her exactly where I stand.
As far as I'm concerned the way forward is for ALL Cypriots to the past behind , reconcile and embrace OUR nation , Not Turkey and NOT Greece.
Only this morning in another thread I suggested that Papadopoulos , flying the Greek flag in his office as per a photo in Phileleftheros , should go join his motherland.
You know exactly where I stand , I'm a Cypriot and a proud one at that !

Miltiades the point is you can't dismiss the motherland factor, especially in the south. The church and schools are doing everything possible to make sure their people are even purer of "Greekness" then their motherland. All we want are our political rights back from GC's who stole them from us.

I have dismissed the motherland factor many times , I appreciate what you are saying about the promotion of " Greekness " by the church and schools and have criticized the fact that our true identity , that of Cyprus , has been demoted.
As far as your comments on the theft of your political rights , I agree that those rights must be replaced , do however consider the theft of land and sale of such land to foreign developers. The property issues are quite difficult to sort out but if good will exists a solution will be found.
I mentioned many times that my dream is to see a T/C as the President of a united Cyprus , such an event will herald the beginning of a truly independent nation with political parties formed on the basis of policies , agendas etc , rather than G/Cor T/C.

Getting the basics right first is the most important part and that is not the "RoC"....
