Postby orokliniservices » Wed Feb 13, 2008 5:58 pm

what are the rules exactly, does anyone know?
Just wondering if its the same as Cyprus, work permit required if non-eu citizens or if there are no issues with work permits there. Anyone ever experience this??

Cheers!!

I did some work (4 months) in the buffer zone, two years ago.I am a Eu national but still needed a NOTE from the British High Commision in Cyprus. It was far from easy, but from what I have heard and seen different rules apply.

There must be other ways for non Eu nationals. There is certainly plenty of movement of people in and out on a daily basis (workforce).

You two have got me a bit confused ~~ do you mean working in the occupied north or actually in the buffer zone between the two.

Sounds like approaching the UN guys is your best bet if it's actually in the buffer zone
