It was voted as one of the most racist films because of the Persians. Even though Persia no longer exists, people or Iran still call themsleves Persian.

I liked the film, when he called the Athenians boy-lovers

I watched some good movies but I watched one that has a title "into the wild" without reading anything about it first. It was the most meaningless movie i ever saw....whoever paid for that film...i believe he just waste his money and I wasted my time watching it...Almost fall asleep couple of times. Its good if you want to go to bed but apart from that....nothing.
So any bad movies that we should avoid?
Lena

The movie is about a guy(Chris) who found out that the stories about how his parents were fell in love and married were lies, and that when they met, his dad was already married with someone else and even after he was born, his dad had another child with his wife. Him and his sister were kids out of a marriage and his dad denied this other kid for Chris sake. Even though he grow up knowing a different story. Chris and his sister grow up in a family where the parents kept fighting all the time even the father hit the mother that the kids wished they were divorced. His parents were materialists and they loved to be in success with expensive cars even if he did not care and he loved his cheap crappy car.
Anyway after finding out that his whole childhood was a whole lie from his parents he decides to leave his studies, life and family and live his own story...feel the absolute freedom...go to Alaska...so he burns his money, destroy any documentation he has...credit cards, id etc and he abandon his car as well. He wants to leave absolute freedom with no materialistic things. He doesnt inform anybody where he goes or how they will find him. Only his sister knows about his travel but she doesnt know any details.
He dies after two year traveling and living the freedom he wanted when was trapped into the wild since the snow melted and the river is dangerous to cross, he attempts to feed himself with plants from the forest as a way to survive and not to starve himself and he poison himself. He survive but he is so weak to do anything and at the end he dies since he has nothing to eat and he is unable to do anything anyway.
The story is been said from his sister after his dead. He lived the ultimate freedom.
So the theme of this story is that if you happen to find out that you are a bastard child...abandon anything materialistic and leave for the ultimate freedom until you die? I am sorry but I disagree. Why parents should be perfect? They are human beings. Ok he did not live the best childhood or he had the best parents but they were his parents and he had a sister who loved him and he loved her too...you cant just to walk away from everyone and everything.
