Hi sotos

Wife is now in Cyprus

I think she'll be voting for TPap (didnt ask her before she left)

The second round the following Sunday could be quite interesting though dont you think?

I think Papadopoulos will win for sure in second round. The only chance that Papadopolos will not win is if he will not pass to the second round but that chance is very small because he is first in all polls.

Well I think its obvious that TPap will be in the 2nd round but in my own opinion,(and very humble it is)

It will all depend on where the losing candidates votes go

I must agree with you that TPap will win the race but reading the last polls which ended last Sunday I think , Its not all over till the fat lady sings .So to speak :?

Have you been watching the debate on TV tonight?

Got to admit TPap came over best but then again He's more experienced

I watched it. Did you? I didn't know your Greek was so good to be able to follow that! I think Christofias was good in the debate too. Too bad they are opponents and not together now :( We would have won from the first Sunday again.

Yes watched it online tonight.

My Greek is not so good but I can usually get the jest (meaning of it) Cant be marrted to a cypriot for nearly 30 years without learning the basics

I would also agree with your comments about Christofias the previous election he supported TPap .....Hence my comments about the second round this time.

There will be a second round for sure. I think it will be Papadopoulos-Christofias. I hope DISY will not cooperate with Papadopoulos. I don't want any from DISY in the government!

Sotos

In my opinion (and that is as a Brit who is inelidgable to vote ) I think that the scenario you have just said
will probably be the outcome of the election.

My view is that TPap will win but that he needs the support of another party

Anyway Kallinxta Kumbaros .....Tora thelo na pesso (sorry if that sounds like village speak I learnt my Cypriot up in the mountains)

if kassoulides doesn't prgress to 2nd round and thats a big IF according to the latest polls which are starting to include the Cypriots arriving from abroad (5% of electorate and 65% of it is Disy) Then i think its pretty bvious there will be a Disy-Akel coalition!!!!!! Tpap will have no chance to beat this despite Disy leaking a large chunk of its votes to Tpap due to the simple hatred they have for akel.

On the other side such a govt would last about 12 months, long enough for an attempt at a solution and then it would collapse.
