I have such little regard for politicians that I normally spoil my ballot paper in real elections with a suitable comment.

the tide is turning people, looks like we'll have a new president and it better not be christofias.

give me a break....we're 3rd in the polls i have to do something to raise spirits.

But seriously 5% of the electorate are the students flying over and they haven't been added onto any of the polls. (majority of students studying abroad are DISY.)

Prediction.......Tpap falls at last hurdle.......Still runs the show from the wings...Delay tactics that the UN and the EU are already well aware of......

You have absolutely no idea about Cyprus Politics do you? If Kas or Christof get voted in Tpap will be lucky if he can still run a sandwich shop.

Now you've confirmed it to me that you have no idea about what goes on over here.

Tpap apart from his stint makarios's cabinet has ,led a very slow political life.

His party EK (Centre Union) had a support base of around 2%. This party joined with DEKO and up to 1990's he was not even VP of the party...Galanos was.

He played 2nd fiddle to Kyprianou and his sons until the old man passed away and he took over. To people of my generation who don't remember the makarios years too well Tpap came out of nowhere when he became president.

He is not Denktash mate....Denktash was around from the beginning, ran it in the middle and stayed there till 2004. Tpap had a 30 year sabbatical in his law firm.
