Do TC's want a United Cyprus or Partition

My understanding and conclussion after a year on this forum, most of the TC's on this forum want partition they want to take what was our and make it theirs, whilst using the RoC, an entity they hate to meet their own personal needs.

it is unbelievable. now gc this in form may accept division but they afraid the population of north will increase and threatens them. just enemy idea, division may be good idea because two communities in fact lost their trust to each other. and because they dont know each others language it is not easy to find a common platform. if you dont like each other how can you make partnership.

But it was OK when the GCs wanted take what was ours and give it to someone else...you have come to realize over the last year the reality of the situation we do not share the same vision or capacity to compromise, a forced union will result in war...why not agree partition and allow all the people to choose north or south, rather than allow one side to dominate or control the other, where there's no trust there no union.

Nikitas wrote:If you owned land you are compensated. Sounds reasonable. What about those who do not own land in the north but grew up there. What compensation do you give them for the loss of their patrimony and place of belonging?

And what makes you realists think that once partition is consensual Turkey will leave the south alone? Who are the dreamers around here! When have you ever heard any mainland Turkish officials state that they desire partition? They talk about separate peoples, different religions etc, but they never ever talk about partition.

The attitude of Turkey in the case of the oil exploration rights in the south coast of Cyprus is the key. Turkey wants the TCs separated in the north and then wants to have a hand in EVERYTHING that happens everywhere in Cyprus.

Wake up dreamers! You are not going to find peace by selling your land or your ass to Turkey.

Now thats interesting...Take a look at my signature and tell me how much I am owed?????

4 years ago 68% of your population voted for union...now all of a sudden we were never meant to unite this island?

I am of those Cypriots who will accept partition based on population ratios 18% of the land can be yours and you can leave the rest of us alone.

Yes we do feel threatened because the population increase is not a natural or indigenous to Cyprus, it is imported from Turkey to Turkify the occupied area.

As far as the enemy idea, well some of your community tell us that we are horrible people each and every day. Of course we see those who perceive us as enemies, as enemies.

As far as the language, well its an opportunity too learn a new skill, personally I would love the opportunity to learn Turkish. The reason we cannot find a common platform is because each individual does not want to even try.

Union UN style and rubber stamped by the majority of the world but rejected by GCs who thought they would get a better deal using the EU.

Won;'t get into this again (read my post to expatkiwi regarding the one0sidedness of the AP) But it did prove that the tC's desire union. WHy would you think they'd prefer something different now?

VP the difference between the not shared vision is that yours is based on racism and hate, how many GC's would your regime allow to return to their homes?

Lets see each TC can now claim their properties, of course that is unfair right.
