With the new EU laws, many things seem to change. Is it still compulsory to vote in Cyprus?

How do you know if you are eligible to vote please?

I am not Cypriot, so does it go by the number of years you have lived here, do you need to be classed as a resident. homeowner etc?
Cheers

EU citizens are eligible to vote and be elected in local elections (municipal) and also in European elections.
