Iwouldn't like and I rather die than see my son to marry out side of his comminty.

Uzan that way of thinking is a bit racist in this day and age.

How old are you? My most young people say under 21.o. would probably not agree with this attitude. My girl friend is Korean and my 2 older brothers 'girl friends are dutch/indonesian and Singaporean Chinese. My Eldest brother is getting married to a Assyrian girl.

Multiculturalism is about cooperation and coexistence. People who think that people should only date within their own ethnic group are not ready for reunification or the EU they are ready for the middle ages.

I go to Uni with a girl who is 1/4 Greek Cypriot 3/4 Turksih Cypriot( grandmother is Greek Cypriot.) Big deal!

If you go back enough generations most people would find an ancestor from a different ethnicity.

There is only one human race.

Yes, this is true. There were some "TCs" who could only speak Greek up to 1970s. But do you also see the other side of the coin? When Ottomans came to the island, Yeniceris (Ottoman soldiers) came without wives or children. They were mainly young soldiers with no family so what usually happenned is they picked Greek wives.

Many Janissaries were of Greek ancestry as well.

I read that the 4th son of every family from the Rum Millet, during the rule of the Ottoman by some Sultan bloke was taken as a Janissary or something like that. Does any one know a bit more about how Janissaries were "recruited/taken"?
