Cyprus IBM Service for ThinkPad

Postby IcyNoAngel » Mon Feb 11, 2008 10:05 am

Hi all,
Does anyone know of a good computer service (that is especially for Lenovo ThinkPads) in Limassol?
Or at least a good one in Cyprus. When I say good I mean that they know what they are doing.

I am already thanking you for any help you provide.

I always send people with busted PCs to Computerland – they don’t specialise in Thinkpads as far as I’m aware but the feedback has always been positive.

This one needs the mainboard to be changed. So if they don't have some connections with IBM to get it from, I don't know if they can handle it.
You really can't find these things at the corner shop. 8)

I might contact them though just to ask.

By the way, thanks! :D

Agias Fylaxeos street is awash with computer stores – have a wander down there and see which of them can help you. ;-)

I already had some bad experience with NewCytech (it's not on that street, but...I won't say more).
I'm asking here hopping that someone can send me to the right place. 8)

I had a problem with my Dell computer, I was somewhat riluctant to take it to these small guru-wannabe computers firms. The solution, go to the Dell redistributer, fixed my computer in no time, and I know their qualified.

Why don't you contact IBM directly, go to www.ibm.com.cy, there contact details are on the site, including their email addresses. There based in Nicosia, so if your not local expect to travel.

If it's a software problem I think anybody would fix it for you, even those small guru wanna-be computer firms, but if it is hardware, only trust IBM.

Hope this helps you understand.

I go there, their not super-experts but they know the foundations. To be honest, I think I know more than them. I go there for small bits, mice's, CD-R, plug adapters, keyboards or just when I need a quick solution. There quite good, they treat their customers well.

I think they have many contacts in the field as well, so if you have a problem they probably know somebody who can fix it. There good like that.

Eversince I left the joint they've become crap! I looked after around 65% of Cyprus' IBM laptops right up to the time when GlobalIt became NewCytech.

Anyway, the other IBM partner in Cyprus is Galatariotis so give them a try.
