Btw, are you sure you want to replace the motherboard? They sell from CY 500 to 1200 pounds depending on the model so not worth replacing.

These crazy guys at NewCytech made me a price for all of these around 500 euro. But they were to slow, I had to call them every day for about two weeks and still they didn't started what they were supposed to start. So I stopped. If the price doesn't go more than this, I would change the motherboard.

Can you tell me were these guys are located? The ones that you mention earlier?

My advice is to go to Bionic and purchase the Acer Aspire 3100 for 350 pounds (vat included) and forget about repairing the IBM. Anyway, here's the other guys...

I've already got an IBM R61 for one month now.
The other one I liked more though, that's why I want to repair it. :roll:
