No solution then

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

According to the results of all surveys conducted during this long election campaign, Papadopoulos is mainly supported by the old (especially women) and elementary school drop outs! This is a fact.

They think they still own us. They think Cyprus is still part of their empires. They occupy our land with their troops and then they wonder why we don't like them

Do me a favour Sotos can you make this point known to the thousands of “British “ purchasers of property, so they know to go else where!

Why do I mention this? The small-minded, complex-ridden, self-serving, semi-civilised Paphites have caused untold harm to the rest of Cyprus, while their own cultural backwater has thrived and prospered. They have benefited immensely from the Turkish occupation – pieces of infertile farmland in the middle of nowhere are selling for millions of euros, turning half-starving peasants into wealthy men overnight– which is why they overwhelmingly voted for its continuation in 2004 and will do so again if another settlement is ever put to a referendum.

For now, they will give their vote to their fellow-pro-partition Paphite, in the belief he would protect them from the threat of a settlement that would cause real estate prices to tumble. The Ethnarch gets his biggest share of the vote in Paphos, the traditional stronghold of the anti-settlement parties, EDEK and DIKO.

Hey guys , the British basis belong to the people of the UK . Keep your dirty hands off . As regards the Turkish troops they have as much right to be in Cyprus as the ROC National Guard , if not more .

I do not think you will live long enough to see the day when the British and the Turks leave Cyprus. I suggest that you re-assess the situation and come to terms with this fact. While I appreciate that this might be difficult for someone of limited intelligence it is the the only real option. Good Luck.

and you're supposed to be the genius of this party

If you go to far I guess Britain will be questioning the "legality" of the RoC as well.

Britain would look a fool if challenging the legality of a nation member of the EU , Commonwealth and the UN , so don't be ridiculous assuming that Britain will sink to the level of Turkey !!

Thanks for the compliment DT. To tell the truth I am far from being a genius. Pragmatist maybe. Genius no.

But it doesn't take a genius to understand that the Turks are here for good. The Brits might leave in 100 yrs or so but not the Turks. Wake up to this fact.
