i know a man who dislikes dogs because he got bit badly in his younger years.

I know of a little TC boy who heard two shotguns go off during the hunting season and has since convinced himself that he was involved in inter-communal fighting!

Don't need to go far. A good percentage of Turks here honestly believe they are genocide survivors.

You betcha!!!!   From guns or starvation to disease.....You tried the lot on my family...We got out.

...and stay out!

(One less lunatic means a lot to this trouble-spot Zanny)

Welcome home GR!!!! One lunatic leaves and one lunatic arrives.........You make up for two though........My place is reserved in the TRNC/KTC

In your case one (turkish) lunatic leaves Cyprus 2 (turkish) lunatics arrive. Its the settlers way.

ANyway, who's this person attacking pheonix? Judging from her need to respond to her own posts over and over again, my guess is this person is enjoying the spotlight for once on this forum due to Pheonix's unique personality.

I'd remind you bubbles that the only reason you're getting this attention right now has nothing to do with you but the person you've chosen to take on.

Iceman and MrFromng you dirty f**** old men

You even dragged Miltiades down to your level.

Listen you Zomby , Im a 62 year old proud Cypriot , NO ONE influences my long held views that ARE mostly respected by all as constructive and wise. Along come little twits like you who make f..ng stupid comments and insult friends of mine. Go back to school and learn some facts about the Cyprob , you may find that today's predicaments and yestedrays conflicts are all because of people sharing your views.Well boy , I have an interest for tomorrow and I will do all that I can to change perceptions and directions that will lead to more conflict , more blood and more tears.Get it into your head and try and analyse it well.
If all , or if the majority of Cypriots held my views then we would be sitting down and arranging for the repatriation of the foreign troops occupying our land and discussing how best to move forward , and conflict would be something you would only find in history books. What is your solution mate , tell me ..

Expat, it was an unfortunate idea you express there. This is EXACTLY how non moslem subjects of the Ottomans were treated. In Cyprus we still have remnants to remind us of those times. GCs wear a black sash on their vraka because dressing in bright colors was forbidden to them. I will leave it there for now. Be careful about using analogies with Nazis, the ideas of racial superiority were not their exclusive invention.

As for today, and who imposes racial standards and who does not, it is plainly obvious. The TRNC excludes non Turks while the RoC is fast becoming a multi cultural society.

That's rubbish, we have MANY foreigners here, specially people who come for the universities and no one treats them any different, unlike the way the GC's treat their fellow TC's and only against the TC's apparently since you can be ever so multi-cultural now compared to how you were before, ethnic nepotism springs to mind unfortunately

That's strange remark to make when you consider how many TC's have crossed over to get their ROC id card and how many actually live here let alone the thousands crossing over daily for work.

Would a GC be as welcome in the north ~ would he be able to say I want to return to my home and have that wish respected .

Does the north hold in trust a GC's house so it is available in the event of a solution or are the houses being sold to the first gullible foreigner that comes along or filled up by settlers to bump up the population and justify the area of land taken ~~ there is a difference ~~ a very BIG difference.

I don't really know why you didn't take it all while you had the chance ~~ you know it's what you've always wanted ever since the British took it from you

Well since we haven't taken it, has it not ever crossed your mind that owning Cyprus was not really anyone else's intentions but yours?

Have you heard of any GC's not being welcome or being maltreated here? I'm sure we are all welcome there as long as we don't pose any threat in any way, socially or economically, which we obviously cant since we have been deprived from making any real progress for the past 50 years, of course you welcome us there now, we are sitting on the land you want

I know of people who had the means to cross over there for work way before the borders were open, that's how desperate some people were here, its not always solely for the "love" of the South and its people.

Can you also really say that NO TC property has been abused or demolished at all in the South? I doubt it.

The annoying extreme Greek ethnocentrism will always be an obstacle for true integration, we will probably be able to live side by side like before but this would not stop the ethnic nepotism i was talking about, it is probably what the TC always hated and fear the most, even more than the chances of any potential violence.

what right do we have to judge her? have we walked in her shoes?
yes, phoenix can bite, but she mostly only nibbles, and only bites when attacked. (i have been a victim of her bites, too). in all, i like her style. i like her sense of humor, i like her quick wit.
i may not agree with any anti-TC comments (or anti-GC comments either), but no doubt her dislike of certain people is warrented.

my mother got a bad electrical shock in her youth, which made her afraid of electrical appliances the rest of her life.
i know a man who dislikes dogs because he got bit badly in his younger years.
lets look at this aiden character, and his anti-gay attitudes. my guess is either he was sexually abused by another man, or his own sexuality scares the crap outta him.

so lets not judge phoenix on her own predjudices. we don't know what she saw in her lifetime.

I think the electric shocks were her unsuccessful treatment therapy GG.......They had to let her out in the end...

Me thinks the National Grid ran out of Power.

Pray that she doesn't because if she goes you follow. The last thing we need around here is you filling her in with a double dosage of your stupid jokes!

Not going anywhere, sorry if you are disappointed about that. As I have previously advised you - stop reading my jokes :? Not that hard to do?!?!? :? :? Some forum friends actually like them!

It would be wise if you actually practised what you preached every now and then...ensuring that you also mind your own business...

I heed your point, but the whole point of me starting this thread was to make people aware of misrepresentation.

May I ask what nationality you are? Also, from your previous posting, can you please tell me what aggouri is?
Thank you

Bubbles x 8)

Agguri means cucumber

I always thought it was more like 'anguri'. The double 'G' certainly isnt the same as double 'Gamma'. You even put me off my stroke.
