Looking for a Puppy

Postby lindy1706 » Mon Apr 04, 2005 4:56 pm

Hi All,

Unfortunatley we have just lost our dearly loved Lab Cross to illness, we currently have a 3 month old Beagle cross pointer and are looking for a playmate for him.....Ideally something that will be a large solid dog eventually! Pointer, Alsation, beagle cross or similar. Anyone who is looking for a good home or knows of a litter please contact me.

We live in a rural village near to Larnaka and have a large garden so dogs are allowed freedom all day and get 3 long country walks a day, we are at home all day and dogs are not left . Dog or bitch fine.

You should visit one of the dog and cat shelters - they have too many dogs and can only keep them alive for a certain length of time. I took a puppy there when I first arrived, some sick person had dumped the little soul by the side of the road and left it to be killed. I was staying in a hotel, so couldn't keep it, still can't have a pet as I'm in an apartment. The shelter in Paphos is really nice, good people work there.

They have some beautiful dogs at Paws in Geroskipou. Try there for a friend for your dog.

Found a Puppy

There was me, suddenly getting all excited at the thought of re homing a dog from the Shelter nr Moni (Limassol) where I sometimes help when I can find the time (time limited as I run my own dog grooming business). Now I see you have found one and am very pleased for you, Max and of course the pup. Good Luck! And if you should ever hear of anyone wanting a dog please always consider the rescue shelters.

I agree. Being of a certain age, we didn't think it fair to have another dog, but our's thought otherwise and adopted us, about two years ago. He was an emaciated, tick-ridden, <3 month old abandoned puppy of very uncertain multi-pedigree background and is now a bounding 25 kg headstrong monster, full of life Amber will back up this description as she has had dealings with him!
