The REAL Cyprus Problem .....

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

The REAL Cyprus Problem .....

Postby phoenix » Fri Feb 08, 2008 4:40 pm

The REAL Cyprus Problem is not about Turkish Cypriot isolation or recognition for their pseudo-state.

The REAL Cyprus Problem is not about the problem of re-homing Anatolian settlers.

The REAL Cyprus Problem is not whether Turkey may or may not join the EU.

~~~ - ~~~
The REAL Cyprus Problem simply requires the reversal of the Invasion and Occupation of Cyprus by Turkey.
Unfortunately, the Cyprus issue has been turned from one of an invasion and occupation into the so-called Turkish Cypriot isolation and this creates a lot of problems for us. We have to win back our friends.
Euro MP Ioannis Kasoulides
The REAL Cyprus Problem has been hijacked by the Turk-TCs in order to cloud and veil their crimes.
"We have to win back our friends"
BACK being the key word here Phoenix.
The Turkish occupation is here for a reason and will leave if everyone is happy and promises to be good people. :lol:
Even friends need reminding of the REAL Cyprus Problem. The waters have been muddied, issues clouded and too many people are confused about what we REALLY need to solve.
The point is how effective a job Turkey has done of hijacking the REAL Cyprus Problem in order to stall a solution.
I am not denying this is clearly what Turkey does best .....
Our main problem is/was that we did not act right in time when we should've, and particularly during the Clerides years... unfortunately too many clueless fools were voting for this useless sold-out clown and thus wasted many precious years.
I have to agree with iceman, the root of the problem is people like Phoenix who opened the way for the partitionists and the divisionists to stick their nose in here, they have manipulated this underlying discriminative mentality very effectively from both sides.
The fanatics on both sides are surely responsible. Those harbouring hatred and their continued obsession with apportioning blame and stirring up the past are warmongers and rubble rousers.
The root of the Cyprus problem is foreigners invading our island and trying to impose on us their will by force.
Would any of the problems of Cyprus exists if turks and british had never came to this island with the intention to enslave the Cypriot people and exploit our island? The answer is no.
The Cyprus problem will be solve when, and only when, Cypriots are finally liberated from foreign troops and are allowed to be free and democratically take decisions for their own island.
the root of the problem is people like Phoenix
I guess you are missing the meaning of the word "root". People like Phoenix simply react to the oppressions and crimes committed against Cypriots. Had those crimes not been committed, and had the Cypriots been allowed to be free and decide in a democratic way about their own island, then people like Phoenix would not be provoked to react in the way they do.
If you want to silence "people like Phoenix" the way is easy: Finally allow to the Cypriot people to have their freedom and democracy without human rights violations and foreign troops.
