99% was hardly a minority? It was the dream that ruined everything at a time where we had the opportunity to build a Cyprus full of Cypriots.

How about eh Government bod how would you ensure that TCs could stop and laws that would effect them more negatively than the GCs?

How will you ensure that the GCs do not take decisions on our behalf that woudl effect the TCs more negatively than the GCs? eg no trade with Turkey or union with Greece.

aaarrrggghhhh ......... my friend that is agreat question and the best that you have posted in the last year or so, since I joint this forum. Unfortunately I am not a politician, just a mere little social worker trying to make this a better world.

I'll give it a go VP ....... well because the government will ensure that all decisions benefit all its people, there will always be either a Turkish speaking Cypriot President or a Turkish speaking Cypriot vice president.

under a United States of Cyprus, trade will be conducted within the EU guidelines, laws and regulations if that includes Turkey and am sure it will there is no problem. With a solved Cyprus issue, Turkey is likely to become an EU member hence what applies for the rest of Europe will apply to Turkey and Cyprus respectively.

Remember VP for evrything there is a flip side, how can the GC's be assured there will not be a move for enosis of Cyprus to Turkey or hazards in TC's prevetning trade with Greece? (this is strictly a thought provoking coment does not require response).

VP, this so-called "humanist" is talking about 1974 only and has/is forgetting what they tried in 1963-1974.

Even if the "President" was a TC the GCs can vote and veto everything and do whatever they want with their vast numbers VP. There is no such thing as a "guarantee" in a "United Cyprus".

Once the Turkish Army leaves the GCs will use the "democratic vote" and majority status to make sure we TCs are pushed back into enclaves and eventually out of Cyprus all together. And there you have it, a "legally" obtained "Greek island" to do what ever they want, even achieve their ENOSIS.
