I go by peoples actions not just by what they say.

All my encounters with TCs have had a final outcome of a parting of the ways ... because no matter how sweet the things they said to me were ... in the end, they all wanted partition and the free goodies that has given them.

I knew them before 1974 when they had nothing ... and I know a lot of them now are fat and happy and have regular holidays in their second, easily acquired homes in the "TRNC" ... so don't tell me I am the one harming the solution for the Cyprus Problem.

Open your eyes ... "the last thing a Turk ever does is stab you in the back!"

They have not finished with us yet Miltiades.

Rubbish, total and utter RUBBISH.

... Enjoying your "dream-home" in the "TRNC" ...

Yeah, immensely. Its on TC land. Since I'm not welcome in the RoC my house is in the North. TRNC. Just what exactly is your point :?: :?: :?:

Phoenix , let me put you straight as exactly where I stand .
I do not consider the T/Cs as corrupt , on the contrary since I happen to know hundreds , not just one or two but hundreds , and in my personal and business life I have met ONE only T/C that I would call corrupt , a well known individual on the run from UK Justice. Now let me tell you that I have met a great deal more corrupt G/Cs including a Nicosia lawyer whom I had the misfortune of meeting . I attack any view that has as its sole purpose the partition of our island , therefore when I attack Zan's and VPs views I m not attacking them but ther partitionist views.Let me also state quite clearly that I consider the G/C fanatics along with the Greek junta as the main parties responsible for inviting Turkey to Cyprus.
Let me also state that I believe that the T/Cs DID suffer and DID have to run for their lives under the threat of extremists from mostly the G/C site . I know that the aim of their leadership was the partition of our island but I'm convinced that the extremists from the G/C side played in their hands.
What matters now is the creation of an atmosphere where good will , mutual respect and appreciation of each others concerns is of paramount importance not by proving and challenging views that have the opposite effect. I as an individual have build a tiny bridge that allows me to reach out and embrace my compatriots .Try it your self it might help the Cyprob , you current views and " attacks" are not the least constructive but rather damaging I would say !

Militiadis, you are participating in this list for what, months? Everyday you are having arguments with a bunch of turkish yobs in which their main proposition is "ethnic cleansing is good" and you are loosing. Have you ever wondered why that is?

Listen boy , 3941 posts since April 2006 isn't exactly months is it now ?
What may I ask makes you think I'm " loosing " unless of course you meant to say losing . How many Turkish yobs do you know incidentally mate ?

kafenes wrote:Zan, what you've posted is completely irelevent to this thread and Rafaella's question. Do you or don't you have a list of the 100 burnt down villages.

The report clearly says 109 village's. What do you want Zan to do? Name them all?

And how is it "completely irrelevant" to what Rafaella asked :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

@Forget it Zan, its just not worth the effort with these guys.

I haven't read any UN resolution that mentions what Zan just quoted.

Here are all the UN resolutions on Cyprus.

http://www.un.int/cyprus/resolut.htm

Do not get me wrong , i do not discredit the paragraph that Zan posted, i just haven't read it in any of the UN resolutions.

To MR-from-NG, Zan's paragraph does not state that 109 villages were destroyed. It actually states that out of 109 villages, 527 houses have been destroyed. These houses were either in mixed or mostly Turkish Cypriot villages. It doesnt mention that all 527 houses were Turkish Cypriot. A single village may contain 527 houses.

Can Zan post the rest of this report? If this is from the UN, i would like to read the whole UN report and not just a paragraph thats posted on a friendly "TRNC" website. Zan, if this a legit UN report, then please paste the full UN report.

On the contrary Phoenix , you are indeed helping to find a peaceful solution to the Cyprus problem !!!! My arse mate , you are spewing hatred intensified by pure acidity and at times brutality .You are attacking NOT the cause of the problem which was extremist stupidity by the Greek leadership (Greece ) but our T/C compatriots who incidentally have as much right to be on this island as you and I have .Those that still consider the T/Cs as mere remnants of the Ottoman Empire are not only wrong but plain stupid. I have lived in the UK for ONLY 47 years and I call the UK my land just as much as it is my wife's land who is English.
Lets get on with building bridges of trust and reconciliation not accusing the other side of back stubbing.

Well, you old and wise man, it really depends on how you choose to look at it. 21 months is well ... 21 months.

Your TC compatriots are busy loving the Turks whom they embrace within our country, courtesy of their personal invitations...

How can they be your compatriots if they share their homes and beds with Turks?

Oh hang on ... they are sharing GC homes and beds with Turks.

So I must be lying then.

No, its not all TC land. My house is surrounded by houses built on GC land. They paid around £25 to £35 thousand per donum while I paid £75K for my donum because the owner was a TC with his name, Suleyman, clearly on the title deed.

You must get high on constantly insulting us. Don't forget you may have to share the same space as us one day, what then?
