"UNFICYF' carried out a detailed survey of all damage to properties throughout the island during the disturbances, including the Tylliria fighting, It shows that in 109 villages, most of them Turkish Cypriot or mixed villages, 527 houses have been destroyed while 2,000 others have suffered damage from looting. In Ktima 38 houses and shops have been destroyed totally and 122 partially, In the Omorphita suburb of Nicosia 50 houses have been totally destroyed while a further 240 have been partially destroyed there and in adjacent suburbs."
The fact that Turkish Cypriot police personnel have been wearing on their cap badges the national symbol of Turkey is regarded by the Government as evidence of their loyalty to a foreign country, justifying treatment of them as 'insurgents".
193. The Government's new policy, as explained by the Greek Cypriot authorities, was a two-pronged one. First, it sought to afford facilities and protection to law-abiding Turkish Cypriots acknowledging the rule of the State, and secondly it was designed to deny all benefits of Government services to "Turkish terrorists" and sympathizers who rejected Government authority, The Government explained that it had to forbid the importation of certain supplies as they might be used to meet the needs of Turkish Cypriot fighters.
It was during this Turkish air strike that one of the Turkish jet aircraft blew up, in mid-air over Xeros q The pilot ejected himself from the plane and parachuted on Government controlled territory where he was taken prisoner. He V&S removed to a hospital in Nicosia where he later died. Through the good offices of UNFICYP, the pilot’s body was returned to Turkey.

and further down...193. The Government's new policy, as explained by the Greek Cypriot authorities, was a two-pronged one. ABSOLUTELY!
What in God’s name were the TCs trying to achieve??? So, instead of debating and negotiating Makarios’ 13 points and perhaps even suggesting some of their own, the Turkish Cypriots saw fit to take up arms even though the Greek Cypriots were the 80% majority and had control of almost everything in the Cypriot infrastructure, and put themselves in these enclaves so they could then complain… “Oh look! I’ve just shot myself in the foot and now I don’t have bandages because the GCs won’t give me any and we’re not talking anyway!”
Only a complete fool would put himself in that position. How stupid can you possibly get???
If anything you should blame your stupid leaders who saw fit to place you in this daft predicament, not Makarios or anyone else!
Those who didn’t want to abide by the RoC should’ve been immediately transported to Turkey by the UN, instead of allowing these foolish renegades to flourish!
Regarding the Turkish pilot who was napalming Greek Cypriots and allegedly tortured once captured...It was during this Turkish air strike that one of the Turkish jet aircraft blew up, in mid-air over Xeros q The pilot ejected himself from the plane and parachuted on Government controlled territory where he was taken prisoner. Hmm.... personally I would've cut his balls off and fed them in his mouth since he thought that burning people from the safety of the air was a good idea... he is fucking lucky I wasn't around!
