The 100's of villages that were burned down

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

You need to find UN document S/5950 and post a link to it or you have no evidence. Also, statements like…

“In the space of just four days, 30,000 Cypriot Turks were forced to flee 103 villages, according to UN reports…”

…don’t mean anything unless it says who forced them. Could it be that Turkey’s TC henchmen were forcing Turkish Cypriots to move into enclaves to prove their point that the two communities could not coexist? Does that shed light on the fact that many TCs were killed by TMT for refusing to move?

OK, the Titanic sank and it was claimed 1700-1800 died. You are the type that would want to see a list of names of the dead before you were convinced they did actually die. Good. Well done.

Zan, I am not sure about your state mind, but here we go...

In what you posted there is no mention of a report about the destruction of 100's of tc villages...

This thread call for the names of these villages as proof...

Try re-reading the thread and I suggest the first post as a good start...

Until you find these names, either stay off the sauce, or off the fairies...

I think it is you on the meths again mate...That post was to show that the report is mentioned in the RESOLUTION which makes it real and not as that Back stabbing GR makes out........I just can't find it on the Net thats all...All references to it existing and of its contents are everywhere...

Anyway...Keep quoting the 200,000 refugees and the 6000 killed by Turkey....What I have done is shown the TCs here what you guys are really like when it comes to accepting the truth...You are still quoting these numbers and that we were never pushed into 3% of the island when your own newspapers and Clerides said we were........More partition from you all....   Just don't give your addresses to GR hats all....

Guys, Halil was already kind enough to repost the Patrick extract from John Tirmans propaganda exercise which says:

"by 1970, 57 formerly mixed villages were wholly Greek-Cypriot, and 19 Turk-Cypriot villages remained deserted (i.e. in relation to the 1960 census)."

This means that in total 19 Turkish Cypriot villages and 57 mixed villages (some by the way only number just a couple of dozen Turkish residents) were deserted mostly (but no neccessarily all) due to the the troubles of 1963. As for the UN Report, unless you cannot comprehend what you read (and that we have already established its a given for many members) it states that in 103 villages some homes were damaged or destroyed. This includes Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot homes being damaged or destroyed around areas of conflict including areas around the Turkish Cypriot enclaves which were by definition not deserted. It doesn's say that whole villages were burned down, not does it only refer to Turkish Cypriot villages or homes.

Resolution 194 (1964)
Adopted by the Security Council on 25 September 1964
The Security Council,
Taking note of the report of the Secretary-General (S/5950 and Add. 1 and 2), and

Yes, try and find this report. I would like to read the whole UN report as i am pretty sure that these 527 houses mention by the report were owned by both GCs and TCs.
