Honestly though, I have studied and and not put my degree to use. If I knew what I know now, I probably would have studied hair dressing (judging by the amount of customers the hair dresser gets a across the road.)

How about the rest of you. Would you have done something different?

Try to put it in use. When I look in the job section all accounting jobs require degrees. I saw this one accounting job for tax, they were paying around 3k/month, serious money for Cyprus. They only wanted 5 years experience in it. Try and see what you get.

I probably would not have gone to university at all and just built up experience. Even then, the private sector pays terribly, so I suppose your best bet is to have a relative that likes you in the public sector.

If you can do it yourself it's the best option.

From my experience,it would be difficult to find my type of work in Cyprus.I had to build on my business and then introduce it to Cyprus. It was not easy to get in a keep a good customer base.Five years on it does well and we employ Cypriots who look after the Cypriot side.
