How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

A new edition by the Press and Information Office

The Press and Information Office has issued a new edition of the publication "About Cyprus" in English. This reference work, updated and published about every two years, comprises about 400 pages and includes information on Cyprus primarily through the work carried out by the various government departments. It also gives a picture of the main fields of activity on the island as well as information on the services provided by the state both to the local population and to foreign nationals wishing to do business or invest in Cyprus. The publication has a plethora of photos, maps, charts and tables aiming to provide a visual perspective of life on the island. The book is divided into various sections to assist the reader in retrieving information on specific topics of interest. Each section is subdivided into themes related to the main section. The information included in the largest part of the book was submitted by the relevant government departments. "About Cyprus" is one in a series of recently upgraded publications by the Press and Information Office that are distributed free of charge around the world as well as in Cyprus, to provide useful information about our country. A comprehensive catalogue of all publications (print and electronic) is available at the Press and Information Office, as well as on the webpage www.moi.gov.cy/pio - 25.01.2008

Well Zan I have not read it either, but at the moment with the way things are and your communities push for separation and your so called creation of the your state I don't believe you need to be mentioned in the publication as you consider yourselves a different peoples. I wouldn't imagine this would be the case if the country was united as one nation one peoples. Just like the Greek speaking Cypriots are not mentioned in your tourism information booklets.

May I say at your communities creation because your community is the one that holds the country hostage.

Oh right, i thought it was the GC's who refused the agreement (apparently every single one put forward so far), yet it is us who pushes for division.

Explain me that logic please Humanist.

Lets me also add that i don't want to hear about how you didn't like the conditions of the offer, because that doesn't sound like someone who actually wants peace but rather like someone who wants ALL or nothing.

You should hope there's no mention of the Turkish cultural contribution. Since 1974, they have destroyed much more than they have built, including a whole town which they turned to a "ghost", churches, religious icons that predate the Turkish presence on the island and pretty much anything not Turkish
