How Backward the Turk ....

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

How Backward the Turk ....

Postby phoenix » Wed Feb 06, 2008 7:17 pm

Even today ... what is concerning the Turk?

Improvement of Man's Lot, Refinement of Human Rights, Ending Third World Starvation, Reducing Carbon Emissions, Minimising Atrocities ....? :?

No! ...... the main debate is whether women can wear head scarfs or not....

Real World Politics ... or gossiping villagers ....

Today's Turk ....

Ditching the scarf ... one step closer to Europe?

Dream on!

Do they have the answers? :?

I think not!

Their opinions are the ones which I seriously doubt make them suitable for even EU Special Relationship consideration .......

You may think not, but like I said, you need to ask the mainlanders.

Can they read? :?

Actually, what I really mean is ... the people that matter ... how many have computers? ..... Seriously how many can read?...

And most relevant of all ...

How many of those responding will be women? :?

Turkey is really backward in this regard compared to even the most latent European newly acquired nations ...

Good grief! With an attitude like that, its not going to matter to you if every person living in Turkey has the Nobel Physics Prize. Your mind is made up about what consitutes a Turk... and I can see that it ain't a flattering picture either.

Well ... if they are debating women wearing scarfs in Parliament  .... how much progress have they really made?

Everything else becomes doubtable then! :?

Phoenix, as usual you are full of utter rotten racist SHIT!

The headscarf deal is there because of Democracy and because the majority of the country happens to be poorly educated religious people who voted for a religious government, why don't you also talk about the demonstrations of the millions who do not wish to go back 100 years on the matter?

Probably because that wont really suite your pathetic attempts to insult all Turks.

At least people are fighting for a true secular state, unlike the thousands who was slurping on some Makarios sausage, were you one of them or were you too young back then?
