Observer notes:
"The 20th Century was a pretty bloody one, and borders changes and people suffered" no doubt they did, but I am not referring to border changes. I am talking about properties of ethnic Greeks with Turkish citizenship who have been deprived of their property by arbitrary decisions and racist laws. The school of Halki teaches theology to priests, the buildings of the Orthodox Church include schools, an orphanage and other similar building which cannot be legally repaired. The hope is that evenutally they will fall apart and they will come under Turkish government control. The situation in Imvros and Tenedos is even worse, with the practice of bringing convicts to the islands and letting them run loose, on the pretext that it is an open prison etc. The population went from thousands to two hundred. These are not the acts of a civlised country.
