I knew you would come back with such crap and prove that you have no idea of what you are talking about when it comes to the Ottoman Empire. Your racism and hate against the Ottoman and Turks just does not allow you to learn and I am not about to educate an idiot like you.

Two moslem empires, the Arabs and the Ottomans. Compare them and see what they have left for humanity. There is no comparison. If the Ottomans had not by virtue of religion assimilated the remnants of the Arab empire what would they be?

It is no accident that the fiercest opponents of the Turks were the Arabs. There was no question of religious suppression there, it was a straight forward resistance movement against an oppressive power.

I am eager to find out, if you care to explain.

It is this arrogance that has cost you so much, yet you refuse to let it go. And i don't have to waste my time trying to convince you to anything, you want a god dam building, there you go its a bloody building, you want to argue the authenticity of its aesthetics and the genius behind it, the go find an architect, but don't come here and try backing up your semi-constructive and racist views with such rubbish.

Specially when your main argument is that we are meant to be the barbarians and the ones who don't respect other cultures, listen to yourself you hypocrite and tell me why i shouldest insult you, i don't think you deserve an intellectual debate, that's why!

Shahmaran, comparing cultures does not make me a racist, I could say the same for you when you said that the Turks are better survivors than the Greeks and I would be more accurate. The inferiority of the culture produced by the Ottoman Turks compared to their predecessors' is a fact. The problem is that Turks scream "racism" whenever this fact is pointed out. Did you notice how this discussion started? Who provoked whom?

Yes the argument begun when you jumped in with more unfounded information about Turkey against my opposition to Sotos who was also simply taking cheap shots with no real knowledge. And so the story continues, and i am still waiting for you to explain me why we are "inferior"

Yes the Ottomans might not have been the most creative but you would also appreciate that as much as arts and culture are important it is not fundamental for the creation and survival of nations. So if you could ever drop your racist and arrogant goggles and try to see the world from the perspective of nature, you would maybe appreciate what really goes on in history from a totally new angle.

I personally respect every culture nation and race ever existed and exists, not because of my nationality but because of my love and understanding towards all living things. Because it is our nature to try and survive in any means possible, and that's what we do, so i can never believe that one is superior to another since they are all parts of the same mechanism.

However this does not mean i will stand by and listen to your bigoted accusations without saying nothing.

Can you say the same or will you just sit there and continue justifying every crime that was committed against us by the fact that "we cant make nice buildings so we don't deserve to be free", i find your view nothing but amusing.

The Rennaissance, the great reawakening of humanity started in the 15the century everywhere except the Ottoman Empire. In fact the Rennaissance coincded with the Ottoman Empire. While the rest of Europe was rediscovering ancient wisdom, helped by the translations of great Arab scholars like Averroes, the people of Europe under Ottoman rule were excluded from this historic miracle.

And we have guys like Shah and Eric extolling the virtues of this system that kept people in a state of mental retardation.

Could you please point where I called the Turks "inferior"? Am I a racist because I consider the Ottoman culture to be inferior to others?!? Am I a racist because I believe that the coming of the Ottomans was the end of many great civilizations who could have given much more to humanity if they were allowed to exist? If the answer is yes, then the whole world is racist because I'm only saying what is widely accepted to be the truth

You had a cousin there that day? Did you think he was acting rather foolishly entering the buffer zone and crossing the Green line? That flag would have had to have been flying on the north side of the line. I'm not deeply into flags and symbols as a lot of people on this forum evidentally are, but personally, I would not like anyone climbing a flagpole in front of me and tearing down either the Canadian Flag or the British Columbia flag.

But shooting them its okay. God your a fucking moron.

I don't think there is a turkish word for Rennaissance...not alone understanding it...This explains as to why they never embraced it...

but then again I could be wrong...

I am truly having difficulty understanding your position Nikitas, what is it that you want us to accept exactly?

Everyone was awakening alright, it does not stop anyone from committing incredible crimes against humanity even today! What is your point?! You are more human than us?

Its OK for the "awakened" to kill because well, they are "awakened" so they must know better, but we are barbarians because we kill in order to establish our place on the map.

I guess you are not much in favour of the Jews either!

NOR the Kurds!

This place just gets better and better.
