...and today:

Turkish Cypriot columnist argues that Gerhard Schroeder has undoubtedly been granted a plot of land in the occupied areas

Writing in Turkish Cypriot daily Afrika newspaper (03.02.08 ), Erol Atabek commends on former German Chancellor, Gerhard Schroeder’s visit to the occupied areas of Cyprus through the illegal Tymvou airport. Mr Atabek notes, inter alia, the following:

“...Why have you come? It is not political; it has nothing to do with politics. It is commercial! E, what they agreed to give you! Could it be the Dome Hotel? A Turkish person who lives in Germany and is a former representative of a neighbourhood --a person who now is an honorary member of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP)-- has been very interested in the Dome Hotel. That is, he is living in Germany, you are also German. Therefore, I related this with Dome Hotel. Perhaps they have divided into plots for you some places in Bafra [occupied Vokolida] as well. Or in the Altin Kum [Golden Sand] beach. However, they have undoubtedly divided into plots some places for you former Herr Schroeder! Otherwise, would you come here having the advisor of Mr Tayyip by your side? What job do you have here! A, let me ask before I forget. What is the number of your TRNC identity card? Or have not acquired one yet?”

Very easy to cut up stolen land into pieces and donate it to anyone who will serve their cause and support their illegalities.
That's how they manage to get the support of foreigners, through bribery.

Oh Oh old man senile lost it again

SOmeone remind Zan who invaded who here.

1) Troops from foreign land set foot on cyprus.
2) Troops form foreign land kick land owners out of homes
3) Troops from foreign land keep land owners away from homes.

A lesser people might have been so angry at the loss of their homes that they would have buried toxic waste on the land left behind by the TC's.

Was that before or after over a 100 of our villages were burnt to the ground DT

I am also supposing that you mean the Greeks when you say foreign troops invading your land.....And kicking us out of our homes...And keeping us away from our homes.....    The siege will not work mate.....We have been under siege since 1963.

As for burying toxic waste on our land.....How could you build on it if you did that........

As I said...We have learned well from you guys......We sat and waited until 2004 when you said OXI to the Annan Plan......That was the last straw.....You used our properties and land to get rich while holding us under siege so we could not trade with anyone let alone have a few tourists over......Hurts doesn't it....    Where were you then to protest...

Any journalist can 'undoubtedly' argue what he wishes, and also write whatever he wishes.

But is there proof of this ? Until then, it's a load of rubbbish I say.

I don't see what the problem is, this is OUR country, not the GC's, its not like they are committed to look out for our interests anyways, we have to do it ourselves, so who cares about what they think, let them whinge all they like, its not like they can do anything better other than refusing agreements and bitch about its consequences while watching the north replace its Cypriot population with the Turkish.

Live and learn GC's, your greed has cost all of us plenty and it is continuing to do so, lets see how long before you can wake up, if ever, before its too late!
