How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Playing the devil's advocate is useful for finding solutions to problems BEFORE they come about.

And playing blackmailer is useful for getting at people whose opinions you don't like... something I haven't forgotten about you, GR. Neither has Eric, for that matter.

Evidentally, neither has the Secret Service. I tried sending a postcard to that P.O. Box address, Expatkiwi. It came back not only with a BOX CLOSED - RETURN TO SENDER stamp, but also another stamp saying INSP. USSS. Looks like the authorities down there took your complaint seriously.
In any case, I don't condone what Get Real tried to do in order to force a rewrite of that Wikipedia article, but remember that verifiying information is critical. I tried to look up T/C property ownership percentages in order to confirm your initial 31% claim, but the closest I could find was 29%, on a single Turkish website. Most other sites place the figure around 20%. C'est la vie.

No I don’t actually. The “TRNC” leaves a lot to be desired and had you done well all overseas TCs would’ve come back to live in this new state by now as happened with millions of Jews from around the world who flocked to Israel just a few years after its creation.

What makes you think we cant in the future, considering that Greek ideas such as Enosis or the Megali Idea are long gone, and i cant see the Syrians nor the Venetians attacking us any time soon, so whats the worry?

Let’s suppose that a recognized TC state is established with the blessings of the UN and some years later geopolitical circumstances turn Turkey into another Iraq. How would the TCs protect themselves from the GCs? It’s human nature for groups to strengthen by dominating and absorbing weaker ones… that’s what I mean when I talk about natural selection.

What is your plan or are you placing all your eggs in Turkeys basket?

Again you have proven what I and the rest of the TCs have been saying all along, the GCs and Greeks are only waiting for Turkey to leave so that they can attack us TCs and genocide us in order to have their ENOSIS.

I knew you would come in handy GR and that was one of the main reasons why I helped to get you in to the ATCA forum.

Eric, here I am raising valid hypothetical scenarios for discussion and all you can do is attack me personally!

You would have been useful to Makarios back in 1963.....If only he could have seen what would happen if he tried to exterminate us and then highjack the Cyprus Republic. Then you would not have to have signed up with the devil now.......There is another end to your scenario as well.....A caged animal is a dangerous thing GR......The backlash against the GCs might be very bad indeed......

As for natural selection....We naturally selected the TRNC/KKTC and Turkey over our murderers whose president is an EOKA man and the author of the Akritas Plan.

Zan, can you please name those ....over a 100 village that were burned?
Thank you.

Eric dayi wrote:The whole world knows you are desperate to get rid of the Turkish Army so that you can genocide us TCs to have your ENOSIS, why do you think no one is demanding that Turkey removes it's troops, are you that stupid?

You are still at ..."ENOSIS"?! Happy New Year, it's 2008!
Why would an independent country, a member of UN, EU etc would want enosis with any other country while its worldwide recognized, respected, it has strong economy etc?
Regarding the turkish army. Guess why we want its withdrawal from Cyprus soil.

Ok re Dayi, we know that you suffer from propagandiasis but it won't do you any harm to do a little thinking before you start talking. It doesn't need too much effort, just little thinking. :)

The gov made anything possible to ease the pain of the Gc refugees BUT nothing can erase the fact that due to the turkish invasion we became refugees in our own country.
Nothing can erase the fact that we were BORN in Kerynia, Famagusta, Karpasia etc.
Nothing can erase the fact that we were forced to abandon OUR land.
Nothing can erase the fact that OUR homes and properties were usurped
Nothing can erase the fact that OUR basic human rights are violated by TR, a country that knocks EU door - what an irony!
…and nothing can erase the fact that TR is constantly accused of all the illegalities she committed.

Nothing can be erased, nothing. No matter your propaganda, facts are stronger and cannot be erased.

Well if you are such a "strong economy and a member of the EU" then why cry about some properties and land, go buy some new ones or get over it, you have committed serious crimes against your fellow men and these are the consequences, you loose land and we lost freedom while defending ourselves.

We know what happened in the past very well, the question is, what are you going to do about it from now on, other than refusing every single peace offer?

I don't know if the list was posted Zan. But take your time, I can wait for the list to be posted at your free time.

...but I asked you kindly to post the list of those 100+ villages that were burned and you call me ...blind?! ...living proof of EOKA?!
What can I say? :?

Anyhow, I'm waiting for the list.
