Maybe Phoenix needs to look at the issue from a standpoint of if the 1974 coup was sucessful and that Sampson did annhilate the Turkish Cypriot presence on Cyprus. Would she say "That was wrong, and I'm going to fight to get them back"? or "it was regrettable, but maybe in the long run it was the best thing to do"?, or more likely, "Sampson is my hero".

May tears be shed for both sides as I know both sides have lost and no one has won other than those in power. So sad to see. Nothing will be gained from hatred of each other and as my father in-law says we are Cypriots first all of us. His Turkish neighbors lost just as much as he did and he still cries for them the rest of you could learn from him. The "CYPRUS problem wouldn't exist if he was president.....

They will stop at nothing to make you feel uncomfortable about the fact that you are flying over to Cyprus ....... They are a cruelly abdominal, sadistic, sick fascists country of the world who will stop at nothing short of scaring an individual.

If I'm not mistaken all Turkish participants on the forum are Cypriots. I cant imagine any one of us threatening you in the manner you describe. Can we have some proof of these threats? Please?

didn't mean people where trying to get eoka b out of the palace. They imprisoned every single political leader as any good coupists would do including surprise surprise Tpap.

Interesting story, the Greek Orthodox conduct a prayer over the grave of the dead on the anniversary of the death as a memorial. The parents of a dozen or so Eoka B 18 year olds who were killed by GC's requested form the Archbishop who was passing by the graves after conducting a memorial for anti-coupists who were killed to say a prayer for their kids as well. They pleaded with him that they were only 18 and were following orders.

Anyway he decided to say a few words and it opened the biggest can of worms over here you've ever seen. People started calling the Archbishop Traitor!
