Reading all of this hatred it's no wonder such a small speck of land on the world scale will always be divided. I personally don't think there will ever be a solution because it doesn't serve either government. You will be living with a two tier state and it's extremely sad. I came from a city of 2.5 million who got along really well. yes there were conflicts but nothing like you guys it's really quite sad. Such a beautiful place on both sides and yet such a small speck on the population and they can't get along. No wonder after so long (post 73) there was always a "Cyprus problem". I'm so glad my father in-law isn't anything like you guys and can forgive and is able to move on. I thank him every day I see him. I not being CYPRIOT (Greek or Turkish) can't understand the scope but from his eyes I can after losing everything other than what's important his family he can still move on. Many a people on this island could learn from him. Unfortunately most of it is blinded by GREED!

One could say that 'yes, turks ethnically cleansed the north of non-Turks, especially Greeks', but there is the counter-argument that 'considering that in 1963-65 and 1974 there was an attempt to ethnically cleanse Turks from the whole island, ethnically cleansing ethnic cleansers from only a third of the island is in fact getting off easy.


So in reality your saying, just punish the GC's that lived in the north for the ethnic cleansing done from both sides, right? What if you happen to be part of that violated group of GC's that had everything taken away from them and their roots, and witness someone else living off their land while they have no chance in hell of ever retaining that land? If you cant see any discrepency to that, I dont think you should have the balls to call yourself civil or have the chance of turning into that kind of human being.

That's rich. It was the GC pro-enosists that succeeded in tarring all Turkish Cypriots as interlopers. That also had the effect of making all GC's support that stance. Blame your extremists first, Sunshine.
