Are Cypriots unique in the extent of tasks they can undertake simultaneously with ease, and without seemingly any exhaustion?

Today whilst having a tooth seen to, the dentist was actually drilling whilst balancing her mobile to her ear, speaking and only pausing with the drill to finish addressing a parcel. In all, she answered four calls on her mobile whilst seeing to the tooth, addressed said parcel and sorted her hair/make-up ..... in the space of ~ 10 minutes. 8)

No complaints about the efficacy of the dental treatment, didn't feel neglected as she was constantly hands on and chatting to me about schools etc, just amazed at the ease with which she carried out the other tasks.

Any Cypriots out there managed to do more than this multi-talented busy dentist mum?

I wouldn't attribute the multi-tasking trait to your dentist being Cypriot, though I would indeed attribute it to being a female. Women multi-task far better than men.

I agree with Nikki, your dentist's multi-tasking is rude.

I absolutely disagree with such blatant support of female superiority, countless males are capable of multi-tasking.

Sitting in an armchair, placing feet up whilst holding a glass in one hand and a fag in the other, reading the racing /football pages, scratching and passing wind, ALL possible simultaneously EVEN whilst holding the mobile phone twixt chin and shoulder, PLUS being able to bark orders and THINK about which is the best horse to bet on.

Now THAT'S what I call multi-tasking.

Yes ...... but can you also give me a filling at the same time? :D

Good morning Phoenix, your question is wide open to misconstruction.

Hhhhmmm ..... I failed to pace myself on the forum last night (combination of wine and anaesthetic methinks  ) and I fizzled out too soon. I will peruse the carnage later.

Your exchanges with Miltiades are a great pick-me-up

Phoenix, thank you, miltiades has become my old and esteemed foe on this forum, God Bless him.

Yep, deffo a female trait to be much more efficient and much better at multitasking (think they actually proved scientifically the multitasking point). So I take it that there are hardly any women in government in Cyprus then? ;) Hehehheh...

I can drive while a speak on the phone, change the cd, smoking and changing gears.

But now, I've quited smoking, I've broken my phone throwing it into a wall and put the music on shuffle. The gears I still change. So you are safe on the streets now.

P.S. I'm not Cypriot. 8)

I'm referring to the fact that the U.S. (where I am) is 5 hours pre UK time and 7 hours pre CY time, the UK and CY being the two places from where most of the forum contributors reside. You guys are at an unfair advantage when it comes to proving who's wide awake. When I'm just waking up in the morning, you're already on a roll.

Then posting around 10-11 at night would do the trick, who do you think is "alive" that early? 8)
