Are Cypriots unique in the extent of tasks they can undertake simultaneously with ease, and without seemingly any exhaustion?

Today whilst having a tooth seen to, the dentist was actually drilling whilst balancing her mobile to her ear, speaking and only pausing with the drill to finish addressing a parcel. In all, she answered four calls on her mobile whilst seeing to the tooth, addressed said parcel and sorted her hair/make-up ..... in the space of ~ 10 minutes. 8)

No complaints about the efficacy of the dental treatment, didn't feel neglected as she was constantly hands on and chatting to me about schools etc, just amazed at the ease with which she carried out the other tasks.

Any Cypriots out there managed to do more than this multi-talented busy dentist mum?

I wouldn't attribute the multi-tasking trait to your dentist being Cypriot, though I would indeed attribute it to being a female. Women multi-task far better than men.

I agree with Nikki, your dentist's multi-tasking is rude.

I absolutely disagree with such blatant support of female superiority, countless males are capable of multi-tasking.

Sitting in an armchair, placing feet up whilst holding a glass in one hand and a fag in the other, reading the racing /football pages, scratching and passing wind, ALL possible simultaneously EVEN whilst holding the mobile phone twixt chin and shoulder, PLUS being able to bark orders and THINK about which is the best horse to bet on.

Now THAT'S what I call multi-tasking.

THAT, my dear, is the result of generations of gender development, I believe it is referred to as 'Cocking a deaf 'en' among the more advanced members of the 'Male Chauvinist' brigade.

A dying breed worldwide I fear but quite prevalent in Cyprus.

I hasten to add that I am NOT a member, FAR too much of a coward to adopt such a dangerous philosophy.

In the privacy of their own homes, I can see no reason for why a Rabbi should not be able to achieve the same level of dexterity as any other man.

The possibilty of reading the racing pages might be less, it could easily be substituted with 'The Torah', the rest is automatic.
