No, "όπερ έδει δείξαι" means "(exactly) that which was to be proven", or "Quod Erat Demonstrandum" in Latin. It's ancient Greek, the modern Greek version would be "αυτό που έπρεπε να αποδειχθεί"

Mongolian is actually the closest language to Korean, even though it uses the Cyrillic alphabet, plus a few letters that are unique to it.

Years ago my Czech wife (no. 2 wife) found a book written in 'Russian' (in Cyprus) in my uncles library. It was a book on architecture. She was fluent in Russian and was surprised she could not understand a word. I asked her to read it aloud, and I undestood every word written as it was written in Kazakhistani. She also noticed the extra letters not in the Russian alphabet. These were created to accommodate the sounds not represented with the Russian ' Cyrillic' alphabet.

No, I meant the spelling, not the translation. :?

The use of ω ( instead of ο) at the start of words and η (instead of ε) .... I saw it one source, even though the way you presented it is how it is spelt after Maths derivations / proofs.

I've never studied Ancient Greek, and very little modern ... but they are fast becoming my main interests at the moment.

So I do appreciate any input, thanks Alex :D
