Muhallebi with rose water in the summer.

kolokas , I hate the stuff. Fried bullez is not bad.

böğrülce is again something I hate my grandma can't stop nagging me to during the stuff in summer.

I also like bulgur köftesi ( someone translate that ) made some today with grandma.

What is "souvla" ? I keep on hearing about it on the forum.

Could you tell me roughly what are the ingidients of the boulgur keftesi?

bulgur: boiled and pounded wheat

You make a sort of doe out of the boiled and pounded wheat, then you use a mince meat grinder to form hollow cylinders. Then you fill it up with mince meat and fry it in hot oil. What do you call it?

One thing that should be coming through is that both communities have such similar foods. Not surprising given the common history and passion for eating.

For instance, Umit07 says "I would have to say number one is F?r?n Kebab? ( Kleftiko ) "Muhallebi with rose water in the summer." etc

Seems to me that all disagreements could be settled over a damned good feast including all the above courses and those that follow.

Can I add one more to my list please and that is after weeks of eating meat in the summer and swearing to become a vegetarian I love a bowl of fassoullia with loads of oil, half a raw onion and a bit of bread.

About 30 years ago Larnaca was famous for its Koupes but now every corner shop and kiosk sells them so the novelty has worn out. :) There's nothing like the Armenian boiled Koupes. :)
