CopperLine wrote:The position of Sarkozy and Merkel is just not news. Sarkozy is a fascist and racist making Le Pen's FN completely redundant in France. Merkel is a conservative christian. And the two of them don't want Turkey in the EU for different but re-inforcing reasons. You'll be sure to tell us the news first if you find out that bears crap in woods or if you discover that the pope is Catholic, won't you ?

For those of you (including Merkel) who insist that European membership requires territory in 'Europe', you might wish to explain how come the French departements outre-mer and the Dutch Caribbean territories are also integral.

Of course what you say is true CopperLine, specially the ABC islands and Martinique being so far away, ( nice islands by the way) but that's because they have an "umbilical cord" to Europe, which brings me to a very doable solution to Turkey's problems, which is, that Turkey will allow herself to be taken over by the RoC as the rulers of Turkey, only in administration you understand, and Bingo, Turkey is in the EU. Basically the RoC becomes Turkey's umbilical cord and grows in size by 70 times. I don't think there are any rules in the EU for such tactics. Wouldn't that be a kick in the ass. First the Ottomans conquer Cyprus back in 1571, and now Cyprus conquers Turkey in 2008. The EU wouldn't know what hit them.

If you have any influence with Turkey CopperLine, pass on this idea to them. This will also solve the Cyprus problem, settlers and all. They might even reward us. If they get really pissed off however, you don't know me. I'll come and visit you at the jail.
