If we have to be honest perhaps Turkey is not ready for the EU, just like Bulgaria and Romania wasn't ready.

I don't believe that Turkey is ready for EU either. MY coment based on the following ....... I do not believe any country that occupies another by military force is ready to join the EU whether be Turkey over Cyprus or Turey over Kurdistan etc.

If I had to be honest, I would love to see Turkey in the EU provided it respects all other EU members and abides by international law. Probably will be more suitable than Bulgaria and Romania.

'Humanist',Turkey doesn't qualify for E.U. membership,as it isn't a European country,whereas,Albania,Bosnia-Hercegovina,& Kosovo are!

There is a place for Turkey in Europe. Her people are not sub-human scum, regardless of how many people think that they are.

Dean, allowing Turkey to join the E.U. is also like allowing Israel to join the E.U. as well.Turkey is the puzzle piece that doesn't fit - a square peg trying to force itself into a round hole.

I recon Greece should be thrown out of the EU and together with Turkey, Romania, and Bulgaria, should form a new union called the GU (Gypsy community).

So there you have it people… problem solved!

No place for Turkey in Europe ?

Well, as I was idly looking at my Euro notes this morning each with their map of Europe what's missing ? Yes, you guessed it - Cyprus !!! But hold on, what is included in the south-east corner of the map of Europe on the Euro note ? Yes, Turkey.

Euro-room for Turkey, no Euro-room for Cyprus. Shurely shome mishtake.

you'll find the new notes coming out now include cyprus just like the coins already do.

the notes we use now are borrowed from portugal and france until the new ones are given by Frankfurt.
