‘No place for Turkey’

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

In reality VP they never had it, Turkey in the EU would mean a second, but legal, invasion of the whole island.

That's what I was afraid. If they finaly enter EU that would mean the end of the Gcs on the island. They turned our occupied land into a third world country with all those uneducated settlers who were shipped from Anatolia. What can happen if they can come freely without any restrictions?

On the other hand I believe other EU countries wouldn't want to have them as well, eg. Germany already has 4 million Turks.

Cyprus is not Tr's only problem. Tr faces a lot of problems as a country, violation of human rights, freedom of speech et. I don't believe she would ever manage to fullfill all EU criteria.

Turkey worst human rights offender

And don't think i have not noticed you refer to the Greeks as "we" either, all that crap about us being Cypriot and all was clearly temporary, you reveal your true face more and more everyday, but considering the amount of shit you talk I'm starting to believe we will find an arse under that veil instead, probably a very hairy one too considering you are "Greek"

There may be 20 ethnicities, as you say in Turkey .... but how many of those are European (apart from the Greeks .... ) ... they are mostly Turkic ethnicities hence Mongolian-derived.

Just as you refer to yourself as a Turk ... I too can refer to myself as Greek....

Shah .... I am half Greek and half Cypriot ... that is not a secret. Perfectly normal!

Any racial problems or gripes? :?

Not personally, just pointing out the fact that you make a very clean and insisting distinction between CYPRIOTS and TURKS when it suits you, while including yourself with the mainland Greeks when it suits you otherwise.

Plus don't forget the millions of Kurds, Armenians who live here, and also the Jews who immigrated from Spain while running away from the "civilised" Europeans. It shows how much you really know about your ultimate enemy that you love to attack at every opportunity.

But its OK, we are used to you being extremely blunt and sweeping when it comes to such matters, I understand it is indeed much more convenient for you to ignore these facts for the momentary pleasure of taking a cheap shot at the Turks. ;)

Out of 80 Million Turks, what proportion (apart from the 20 Million oppressed Kurds that don't give a monkeys about joining the EU .... and would never be consulted by your racist government anyway  ) do these "ethnicities" account for?

Every country that has entered the EU has had a variety of ethnicities. That is not an issue. What is an issue about Turkey, is that the overwhelming majority are Eastern ....... so not European by any stretch of the imagination.

CopperLine wrote:The position of Sarkozy and Merkel is just not news. Sarkozy is a fascist and racist making Le Pen's FN completely redundant in France. Merkel is a conservative christian. And the two of them don't want Turkey in the EU for different but re-inforcing reasons. You'll be sure to tell us the news first if you find out that bears crap in woods or if you discover that the pope is Catholic, won't you ?

For those of you (including Merkel) who insist that European membership requires territory in 'Europe', you might wish to explain how come the French departements outre-mer and the Dutch Caribbean territories are also integral.

CopperLine, the French overseas departments have been integrated into France since the 1950's,& are allowed to send delegates to the French National Assembly.Yes,they also use Euros as well.

The Dutch islands in the Caribbean are self-governing,but are treated as being part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. They have their own currency - the Netherlands Antillean Gulden.

Lets not forget the superpower, all it has to do is pull a couple of string here, couple of threats there and Turkeys back in

I wouldn't start celebrating just yet

If Turkey was allowed to join the E.U.,then it would lead to the farcical situation of one E.U. member state illegally occupying another E.U. member state.

As for Turkey being democratic,I don't think so! Wankocratic is more like it!

Hang on my Turkish speaking Cypriot friends ....... why get all offended and on the defensive? ........ why .... we ......have often heard on this forum that neither Turkey or the occupied area of Cyprus want to join the EU. No problem then hey ;) :):):) your getting exactly what you want and you don't even have to try. Just go with it.
